The Uncanny Valley

I just saw this horrifying commercial on tv:

That thing creeped me out pretty badly. Imagine seeing that coming down your street!

I think this is a prime example of something firmly within the Uncanny Valley [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uncanny_Valley] - that is, something very human-like, but just inhuman enough to be creepy.

What are some examples of things you've seen, whether from movies, games, or *shudder* real life, that would fall within the Uncanny Valley?

The thing that creeps me out the most about that ad is the knowledge that somebody, somewhere, wants to have sex with that giant freaky puppet.

But, uh. Yeah. I guess the people in Heavy Rain were pretty bad.
Especially Madison. My god, she is like the fucking queen of Uncanny Valley.

Yeah, those guys have several puppets that they use for all kinds of things, mainly parades.
