There are a massive amount of Videogames that we don't even know they exist. And I mean VERY unknown to us even these games will be available in the future or they had been already released.

So I decided to create this Thread with the knowledge I have to offer you some "hidden" games you can play or wait for them in the future.

If you have a suggestion, please post it here like in the other post below. I also suggest the description being official by the creator of the game.

Thank you and I hope you enjoy my Thread. I will try to update it daily.

[HEADING=3]Out Quest[/HEADING]

Out Quest is a mecha-themed sci-fi RPG for PC, it?s inspired by classic anime titles like Galaxy Express 999.
In the distant future, the depths of space have been colonized by the various civilizations roaming the universe. One of these colonized planets, H-5, is under the care of Galactic Sunrise, a company dedicated to helping colonists survive for a nominal fee. However, after H-5 goes completely silent, Sunrise sends a team to survey the situation, only to find a frozen wasteland of a planet overrun by hooligans and covered in a thick wall of unnaturally dark clouds, with the Sunrise-employed adviser having escaped after a series of grievous mistakes.
As the new Adviser for H-5, you must take it upon yourself to fix the mistakes of your predecessor, explore the secret depths of the planet, fight off the raiders, reclaim and rebuild the settlements and rekindle the populace?s trust in Sunrise. Failure will mean not only the ruination of H-5, but also your unemployment.

I'm assuming there isn't a cut off for games that are too old.
I think Lost Dutchman Mine for the Amiga is fairly unknown.

Lost Dutchman Mine is a simulation game that casts the player in the role of a gold miner in the 1860's. The player can freely explore a town and a vast desert, limited only by the protagonist's necessity to eat and rest. One of the game's goals is to earn money, which can be achieved by searching gold in a river, mining for gold, or capturing wanted criminals. It is possible to buy food or catch fish with a fishing gear equipped. Hostile explorers and dangerous animals impede the protagonist's process. Location layout and characters are randomly generated each time the player begins the game.

Dark Sun: Shattered Lands takes place in the fictional land of Athas, a dying and hostile desert world. The locale is Draj, a city-state ruled by a powerful sorcerer-king. Nearby are several "free cities", surviving in the desert thanks to the hard work of their citizens. Upon the completion of the pyramid in Draj, the Sorcerer-King desires to make a great sacrifice of blood by sweeping the desert and destroying the inhabitants of the cities not under his control. The player controls a party of up to four gladiators, condemned to fight in Draj's arena until they die, so naturally the first order of business is escape. Upon escape, the party must unite the free cities to resist Draj's army.

It's a goddamn awesome game, that deserves more recognition. Even if not really takes up after the Darksun rules.

Looking at the state of the gameplay demos vs the trailer I'll guess Out Quest is in alpha / pre alpha correct?

Something like that I guess.
It is so strange to not see this game posted in a major videogame site to get some recognition/advertisement.

[HEADING=3]Thrive[/HEADING]

Spore is arguably the greatest waste of potential in all of gaming. What was touted as a simulator of the entire development of a species, from single-celled life to spaceships, turned out to be a collection of rock-stupid minigames. An indie project seeks to renew this concept and fix what Maxis fucked up.

From the website:

Thrive is an open source game which aims to simulate the entire universe - your way. From the lowly tide pools of your home planet, you will evolve a creature to triumph against your adversaries, gain sentience and blast off to explore distant worlds.

The eventual game will include a wide variety of features, such as population dynamics; a procedural evolution system which automatically evolves AI creatures and allows you to directly edit your own organism, designing not only their look but behaviour and internal organ structures as well; a sandbox mode in which you can edit absolutely everything, unlocked after the space stage; a tech editor to design and test your own tech objects; advanced systems for economics implementing a compound resource tool; and much, much more.

I used to play this game on the PS1 by the name of KKND: Krossfire. I don't know if it was a popular game, all I know is that I remember it being pretty damn awesome to play.
It was the game that got me into RTS games, and when I look at it now, it really gives me some serious StarCraft vibes. I can remember my dad's friend giving it to us a very long time ago, and we played it and played it even when we were playing on the PS2, but one day I remember the disk snapping underneath a door (we were very careless). I can probably find some emulator somewhere if I was super desperate to play it again, but generally the memory of a game is better than it actually is, so I will probably never do so.

Not exactly unknown, but the Shadow Warrior reboot needs more attention. It's the best FPS game I've played in a long time.

Being an old school gamer [with a lot of cheats at my disposal], KKND was somehow known in the old days.
However there are other two old strategy games which:

- The one had only a Demo version.
- And the other was available for free inside a magazine. However this specific strategy game NEVER get released to the market. And no, it wasn't planned to be a free product.

I hope to remember the titles to post them here as well. They are indeed very rare [for me anyway].

A game i recall growing up always had my attention. Dominous. Maybe could be considered a forefather of the "Defence" genre but it's never mentioned anywhere.

You, the player, are the lord of a castle that appears to mostly be ruins for some reason, Various factions come from all sides to attack you, moving space by space across a large overworld map. You can deploy creatures and traps/Spells to locations in a localised map view of an area to fight/Capture the invaders. Captured invaders can be interrogated to learn their motives for invasion and how they could be convinced to leave or you can send them to the mutation chamber, allowing you to splice your own creatures or enemy ones into a new, more powerful creature.

It was an excellent game and theres far more to it than what i can muster to recall right now but i always consider it a shame that it never got more popular.

That was where i originally refound it once upon a time before HOTU removed their download links. Might be something on Abandonia now though.

Btw, I have a question please:

How can I make the list with pictures on it? Three pictures on each row and when you click the image to guide you to videogame's site?

Thank you once again.

[HEADING=3]Dominus[/HEADING]

Dominus is a real-time strategy game developed by Visual Concepts Entertainment, Inc. and released for the DOS platform in 1994.
The game takes place in a medieval fantasy world. The player controls a king who must defend his kingdom from several invading kingdoms, all of whom are attacking simultaneously from different directions. The invaders start moving in from the outlying villages, into the castle walls, and finally entering the keep itself. The player defends the kingdom by laying traps, casting spells, deploying monsters to fight, and flying into the battlefield to allow the player to fight directly (as the king).
The game features strategic elements which are not often found in real time strategy games, such as setting monsters to the task of collecting spell and trap ingredients, and interrogating prisoners.

Why, thank you for your good words mate.
It wasn't so hard really. I took this pic from the site "GiantBomb"
The hard part is to find a game which isn't in the well-known sites. This is also the purpose of this Thread of course :)
