There are many games which show us the historical battles (Allied invasion of France,Battle of Stalingrad etc.) but some games cover the same battles over and over again.I was wondering if you could make a video game about a historic battle about which one would it be?

For me it would be either the Battle of Somme or the battles in Courland Pocket.

Since (at least to my knowledge) there hasn't been a single game about the Korean War, I would skip the single battle and go for the whole conflict.

Hundred Years' War, only because I can't think of anything else at the moment.
There's a few games about Joan of Arc, therefore there are games that are indirectly about the 100 years war.

Battle of Somme, Paschendale, stuff from WW1. Battle from the Roman empire and I think it would be cool if they made a Genghis Khan: Total War game.

There have been a few, I have one on PC. Korea the Forgotten War or something.
I stand corrected.

I'd probably make an RTS based on historical battles from the Three Kingdoms, and all the wars that took place in China. Having a hack and slash series about that era is all well and good, but I've not seen any decent RTSs that cover that period, so having one would be pretty interesting. Or at least a Total War version, or expansion, for it... :p

How could you make a game about the Somme? It was just soldiers using single shot rifles walking slowly towards the germans while being massacred.

Doesn't sound very fun to me.
Okay it has been a while since I studied the WW1,but I think that was the battle where tanks were first introduced plus the trench could be interesting if done correctly. But actually I'd like to see a game made about battles in Courland Pocket since my grandfather fought there.

As an Australian, Gallipoli, Tobruk and the Kokoda trail spring to mind. The Siege of Tobruk in particular.

Yes I agree completely, everyone says WWII has been done to death.

I have never seen Australia featured in a WWII game ever, at least in FPS/TPS and Tobruk and Kokoda would be perfect.
