"Are we to expect any particular threats?" asked Jan, "Or are we just on guard for anything suspicious?"

Listening to the report, a faint smile slowly appeared on Cygnus' mouth, it didn't reach his eyes. He walked towards the monitor and studied the images that were being repeated on it.

"Is there a possibility I can get a list of vantage points of the areas she will be visiting? If there isn't, I want to request the Guerrillas to search for them. That way we'll know where to look in case it starts raining arrows."

Kylar perked up when he heard the mission, for too long they had been relegated to morning calls and drills and the idea of seeing some action greatly appealed to him. He glanced at the monitor, "What can you tell me about the location from where the princess will be speaking."

Question, how much control do the magus's have over their elements at this point. Could Kylar melt into shadows and such or is it to early for that?

"Aye, we can do that" said Jan, in answer to Cygnus' question, then turned to the Minister, "You want us to check for decent ambush points for the procession too, or have the organizers already arranged a safe route?"

Just stay alert, we have no confirmed threats yet, but it never hurts to be ready. At current, all the intel we have is on that screen, I'm sure the guerillas will happily oblige on staking the vantage points, no? the Minister asks, leaving little choice in the matter by his tone.

The town hall, the main area within shall be the Princesses speech area, a clear sweep and hold of that position is your main concern for now.
Dark - crush a foes mind through various "walking nightmares" useful during interrogations You can't blend into the shadows, you crush peoples mind through illusions etc or when your stronger, maybe some summons.

Aurelius's eyes flicked over the images, recording the maps to memory--then he looked over his teammates, doing much the same. If the Guerillas were any less adept, he thought bitterly, The rest of these might actually see a battle or two. Always need their work cut out for them...

He flexed the fingers of his mechanical arm and they moved with only the slightest grinding sound. Still, if there was anything to fear from the Princess's appearance, at he knew his team would be kept in practice. Finished with the screens, he stepped away from them to allow someone else to have a turn. On his way out he paused and gazed quite seriously at Kylar, a long pause preceding his words as though gauging the value of imparting them, "I hope that the endurance of your body can match your mouth."

Satisfied, he leaned against the wall beside the door jamb, ready to leave.

Kylar glanced at Aurelius before responding, "You need not worry about me, it's a simple recon mission, if anything I can protect the princess and myself."

As Jan memorized the maps as each were shown, his mind came up with another question. As he finished, he heard Aurelius speak, and said, "Leave him, he's just a mage", then moved alongside his fellow guerrilla to stand by the door, and muttered "You can hardly blame them for not knowing their own bodies"

To the Minister, he asked, "Who will lead this mission? We need one person in authority, to keep us in order and make our work as efficient as possible"

Aurelius allowed himself a wry smile at Jan's comment, but neglected to answer; he was interested in the Minister's response to the question.

Kylar ignored Jan's comment before memorizing the maps on screen. Everything seemed simple enough and he wondered if it truly would be. Sighing, he waited for the Minister's response as to the leader of the mission.

Jon, you shall lead this mission, if you prove incapable, I shall resume control, the Minister answers flatly.

Cygnus, you are in charge of the protection detail for the Princess, he replies to a question yet unasked, I trust you are confident enough to handle this?

Cygnus nodded to himself, deep in thought. He'd memorized the images on the screen now and was back to his previous position at the wall.

"Can do." He looked looked at the Guerillas in the group, wondering how many of the vantage spots they'd miss out this time. His request was like asking worms where the birds hunt from, but it was better than nothing.

"If needed, I'll shield her with my own armor and body."

Trent listen and watched, memorizing maps and drinking in words. The maps would help get around town but as of now they weren't the greatest assist. No, that would come from learning about the town itself. The people there would understand the town better than any information the minister could provide. The bars and such would have the information he needed, as would any underground networks.

"Do we have any contacts to the criminal underworld?" Trent asked,"It would seem most efficient if I could talk with one of them." Trent let the phrase roll around his mouth before spitting it out.

"I'll have to make new friends then." Trent said, smiling. "Underworld types are always the most fun. They tend to be more lax around me than other folks." With that Trent stood and headed to the door, indicating he was ready to leave.

Jon nodded, 'Understood, sir. I'll be taking the squad as soon as their ready to go."

With a glance he took in the readiness of the other guerrillas, then turned to the mage he asked, "Kylar, how soon can you leave?"

Grace was a bit relieved that there was an actual point to this wake up call.

Oh my god, they're actually going to let us do something other then train! Plus, I get to ride in the royal carriage! Sweet gig! I wonder what it's like in there, probably all smooth and stuff. Maybe they have drinks and food! Wow I lucked out!

She composed herself before saying anything out loud. "All right, I look forward to being able to finally start serving the princess to the best of my abilities, which are pretty darn good."

Kylar glanced at Jon before responding, "Give me five minutes and I will be ready to go." Kyla was happy to have a chance to demonstrate his skills and protect the princess as he walked up the stairs to grab a few things.

Remaining at the door, Aurelius idly wondered if the magus was collecting eye of newt for the trip...
