Cygnus wiped the blood spatter off of his face. "That was close." I hate admitting it, but that repeater does seem useful. He managed a nod towards Jarod. "Nice shooting" he said absentmindedly.
This has been going on for long enough.
Cygnus slipped back into focus, as the whole situation slowly slipped back into position. The smell of the blood around him almost overwhelmed him at first, but he pushed it away. The area was his terrain now, he could feel everything. He readied his crossbow, took a step towards the carriage and saw the bandit, just outside the view of the others. Looks like they've got one with brains after all... Cygnus thought to himself as he pulled the trigger. Shame they're all over the place now.
The world was back in it's dull state and Cygnus was left feeling disoriented. He stumbled his way to the carriage and climbed on top of it. He gave the injured archer he had short earlier a quick mercy shot before sitting down. He hated leaving things undone. "I doubt they'd have things to say, if they knew who we were, they would have gone for the carriage instead. We've wasted enough of the Princess's time anyway. Let's move on."
I need to plan things better from now. That shot nearly got me, that was bad enough. Those two muscle-brained grunts nearly chopping me down to size though... That was terrible. Good thing these people proved themselves better than I did.
Cygnus smiled to himself. I might actually start trusting these people.
