Okay, so if you've heard of this, you're really good at keeping up with the russians part of contributing to the gaming industry.
If you've played it, but not finished, you're in the same boat as most people who've bought or downloaded it.
If you've played it, finished it and understood the ending, congratulations, you're officially a bad enough dude!

Alright, so, to the people who haven't played or heard of this game, hear me out.
If you're one of the fellows who don't know about this jewel from 2009, let me make the pitch:

-Freaking weird world that wants to eat you alive!
-Tons of breasts and chicks! (18 breasts and 9 chicks)
-Unforgiving gameplay that'll make you pull hair out!
-Deep characters and conversations!
-Poetry!
-Awesome boss battles!
- One boss whom has a face of an asshole. No, really.
-COLOUR!
- Best envoriment design from a indie game.
- After life expirience!

Okay, now if you haven't been fired up to look for this game you already own it (and totally agree with me when I say it's made of awesome) or you're a little bedazzled to make out of this.

I won't be talking of how much I love this game, because that's pretty much a given, however, I will answer any questions you have about "The Void" or some things you perhaps want to discuss. I am bored, and this is a good time to bring out one of my all time favourites.

It runs on my basic laptop, and it seems like an amazing game, but it just totally lost me when I worked up enough color to feed the first sister (like 150) and as soon as that was done, one tiny segment filled and it then asked me to get 250. I wanted to move on and see the other worlds, not sit about the three i'd already unlocked.

You're not alone when it comes to liking this game. This is a true survival horror, as "Color" must be managed well, as it's health, offense/defense/speed boost, way of communication, and some other things I have yet to see, all in one. Mismanagement equals death or being stuck in a location due to a lack of color. Any way one cuts it, it's a game over. I say it's a little harder than Demon's Souls.

To be frank, this might be the hardest game I've ever played. Heck, I can't even get through the first hour without making a fatal mistake.

I feel with you man, but trust me on this one, it gets better, you just need to grind about, say, 1 and a half cycle and you should have the necesary nerva to get to Uta or Ava. And then the brothers comes. And then you need to grind a bit more. But manegement of color is the game.

Hmm, had the same problem myself, and put the game on the shelf for about a month or two. But then it hit me later when someone put a difficulty patch out. One of the guys working for devolper made it. You can totally find it on google, or I can send both patches by mail, they made a medium and easy one. But even the easy on is diffucult as hell, because manegement gets totally rammed up.
I wouldn't say it's survival horror, but more abstract dystopia survival :p

I think it's brave to make your stats, spells, health, gameplay and story come from one element only and make work so intergral to both game and story. For example, if you kill too many enemies, you'll get scolded by the brothers, but if you don't, havesting color becomes a serios threat to your life.

Another thing, I LOVE IT when npcs lie to you. I can't explain it, but making half-truths into most of the conversations seriosly make me listen to what they have to say. For example, it's clear the goal is to escape to the surface, but at one point one of sisters explain, that only people who starve gets the chance to enter the void, even then it's only one in 1000 people. And most gets killed by the brothers. So, the only way to survive is to pretend you're an upcoming brother and try to blend in, ultimatively to get enough color to get back to the void. Uta, after you've been told all this asks: "Do you think your master, the one that lost you, is looking for you right now? Do you think he cares about living as much as you do? If he really wanted you back he would have done so. I guess nobody needs souls up there. He doesn't care Nobody cares anymore, and nobody knows why nobody cares" And that line struck me lifeless.
