Has anybody played the demo for Wanted: Weapons of Fate?
To me, it feels like a faster-paced and more ridiculous version of Dark Sector, with a new cover system.
The cover-chaining system is pretty cool, but it's not always immediately obvious if you need to push the left stick up or to the side in order to slide into the next piece of cover. The bullet-time cover ability is neat and really gives the feel of an action movie if you think about it, but the crosshair was always in an awkward position as it began, and I inevitably wasted a precious second of time to reassess my position.
I was initially skeptical of the bullet-curving system from the trailers, but it works pretty well. Sometimes you can insta-kill bad guys with it, and other times it just wounds them and gives them a "wtf?" moment, forcing them out of cover. It's also less effective in tight spaces, but you just have to be more precise with the aiming arc. I guess if you tag an enemy a few times, he ducks behind cover and THEN you curve a bullet into him, you will get the sweet bullet cam more often.
Overall, it seems to have lots of potential, though I think it could be smoothed out and feel a little less jerky. I'll be looking forward to see the reviews and will definitely pick it up at some point.
