The Warriors - Remake?

Today just watched the movie The Warriors. Its a classic piece of fun cinema and even the game was awesome. So would you be happy if they made a modern day remake based on modern day gang culture? If you think about it, alot of the gangs in the movie sucked, although the Baseball Furies were intimidating......seriously imagine having them chasing you at night?

For me i like all the crazy costumes, i like that its more comic book than reality. But i also wonder what a modern take of this movie would be like?

Also as a side note.....would you like The Warriors game to be re released again on current consoles, a HD remake like they did with Silent Hill etc

I would hate for them to remake the movie.

The Warriors is one of my all time favourite films, I love it.

So far, every film I used to love that they remake has been slaughtered. Nightmare on Elm Street remake - shit, Friday 13th remake - shit, Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake - shit. Arthur - shit, Karate Kid - shit, Clash of the Titans - shit ... Anyone else noticing the pattern here?

The are remaking Carrie, we all know it's going to be shit because Hollywood doesn't know how to do horror properly anymore. Blood, blood, some more blood and a few cheap jump scares. We know it won't have the same feel as the original Carrie did.

I hate remakes.

As for the game, now THAT could do with a re release.

I didn't think the game was that bad to be honest. Better than a lot of games that get spewed out.

Slap a bit of polish on it and it should be good to go. I'd prefer it if the did a remake into a bigger open world style game similar to GTA but without the cars (Warriors don't drive in the film .... and admittedly i'm shit at driving in games).
