Yeah... He really left us in a bad position... We might have to just wait... Unless you do something like make Dan leap in halfway and pull Rosa out, or something.
Rosa was scared out of her mind. No, no, no, no, no, no ,no ,no! Pleeeeaase! I don't wanna die! D-Don't wanna! Dan! Simon! S-Save me!!!
Thats a good idea. i was gonna wait until the gun had heated up and then shoot around Rosas feet and the wave would then evaporate.Dan would kick the gun up into his hands.
Dan heard a quiet sizzling sound. he looked down and the barrel of his gun had turned white. he kicked it up and caught it. He aimed it just infront of rosas feet and shot the wave at its base. The bullets were white hot, causing the wave to evaporate into the air. Dan flicked the switch of and poured some water from a turpentine onto the barrel. He put the FAL away and ran towards Rosa.
"Are you ok?" He asked.
Rosa tightened her grip. She started crying again, very softly. They were happy tears. Simon, is thi what you want? You want me to be happy, right?... Thank you... I love you, Simon... I promise we'll be together again, someday, and then we'll never part. We'll find a way to make it work with the man I wed on Earth. I promise...
Rosa nodded. "Y-Yes... Let's go back to the others..." Rosa picked herself up, surprised that there were no tremors at all at this point.She helped Dan back to his feet then wrapped her arms around his shoulders and layed her nead down on his shoulders and they started to walk back towards the ship.
Dan walked back with Rosa. He could just about see the ship in the distance when his head began to pound.
You will be devoured... oh god...It's BEN!
Dan looked down at his feet and saw a small puddle form. he stepped backwards with Rosa and watcheed as his old friend Ben formed from the ground. He had a black substance leaking from his eyes, nose and mouth. He was battered and bruised. His skin was blue.
"What happened to you?" Dan asked, shocked.
"The wave." Was all the cold voice responded with.
"Ben..." But before dan could say anymore, he found himself on the ground.
Ben was standing over him. Dan pulled out his FAL and aimed it at Bens face. He pulled the trigger and Ben stumbled back, more black liquid leaking through his face. Be turned to Rosa and slowly walked towards her.
"D-Dan!" Rosa fell down next to him and tried to help him back up when she saw Ben walkin towards her. An immediate sense of panic over took her and she throw most of Dan's weight over her shoulders and walked as fast as she could away from Ben. "G-Go away!"
Dans head was still pounding. he Oppened his eyes, which he had closed previously and grunted. He jumped off of rosa and said, "Rosa, run back to the ship" i'll meet you there!"
Bens arm dissapeard and then reappeared as a blade of water. he sent it towards dans face. Dan stepped to the side, But the blade sliced the side of his face.
Dan gritted his teeth and flicked the heat switch back on his gun. He shot at Ben, although the bullets hadn't fully heated.
"N-No! No, no, no! I-I can help this time! If you die because I ran... I-I don't know what I'd do..." Rosa took her Chemical launcher off her back. She blasted a shot of liquid napalm right at Ben.
Ben staggered at Dans bullets. He heard Rosas voice and turned towards her. By the time he knew what he knew what was happening, he was on the floor.
"GAAR"
Dan laughed at him and looked towards Rosa, "And if you die because i let you stay, i don't know what i'd do. But that's ok, because your not going to die."
Dan looked back at ben. His eyes narrowed and he fell to the floor.
"Ow."
Ben had sent a huge block of compressed water towards Dan.
"But neither and I!" Dan weased.
He jumped up and emptied the rest of his clip into bens face.
Ben coughed up his black blood. and fell to his knees. He turned his head towards Rosa and laughed. two water snakes slithered from behind ben and towards her.
Rosa puled out he pistol and tried to shoot at them, only manain to kill on. She ran away from the other, being sure to reamin the the battle field. She started shooting at Ben.
Dan reloaded his gun and shot at the second snake. He spun round to Ben who was staggering again after standing up and getting shot by Rosa.
"Why won't this guy die?!" Dan shouted.
Dan heard a quiet [sub]bing[/sub]
His barrel had turned white again. Dan shot at ben and each bullet tore through him. Ben screamed loudly and dissapeared into a large puddle in the ground. The puddle dissapeared. Dan repeated his cooling on the gun and put it away. i'll be back...
Dan walked over to Rosa.
"How was that?" He asked grinning.
Dan blushed slightly, then laughed.
"Glad you liked it. lets get back before something else finds us." He said.
He began to walk, slowly, back to the ship.
