In Europe there is a small country by the name of The Netherlands (Holland) where I live. This year the weather here went completely nuts. I guess it isn't relevant to the rest of the world, but regardless I want to share my amazement.

This year we had the hottest Easter ever. Then we had one of the coldest summers. Talk about changing...from hottest to coldest in a few months time. After that we had one of the hottest after summers. And so the weather went back from coldest to hottest. And now we have the rainiest December month ever. Heck, this year even made a record of having the most records in a year.

*If* I were religious or a doom sayer I would feel like the end of the world is coming upon us, with the weather screwing over the conditions that make up the ecosystem.

Where are you from and has the weather changed for you?

I'm currently in the Arizona, United States. It snowed about 45 minutes drive from me and I'm in the desert.
Did you know that Antarctica is a desert? Yes, really.

But yeah, Arizona usually doesn't get snow.

It snowed in the Sahara once also.

Yeah i thought the same about the weather here (next to you in Germany) :p

Without a calendar i would no longer be able to tell which month we got when looking out of the window. April felt like summer, summer felt like Spring, Autumn like summer again, now Winter is like next Spring again...

That, and we get horribly strong winds and rain atm, ppl living near rivers are a bit worried about high water levels here.

I'd say the calendar is not in line with the weather any longer.

I from the UK and the current weather is cold but it's nowhere near freezing as it was last year so I'm grateful for that. Time will tell if we gonna get several meters of snows again (I hope not).

Stuff like that happens in Missouri with the temperatures. I remember not long before what we called the Snow Apocalypse earlier this year (a time in February when we had record snowfall across the state, in some places the most snowfall in 93 years), we had some crazy warm weather. It was like 70 degrees one day and 35 the next. Then snow apocalypse, and giant snow piles in the streets and parking lots which lasted well into May.
