not the weirdest, but deserves an honorable mention.
Agreed! I can't believe more people haven't mentioned these guys.EatPieYes said:The Residents sure are pretty strange.
Edit: Oh, and FYI, they aren't nazis or KKK or anything like that, they're just artists with a bizarre sense of humour.
Wow, so you've actually seen them live. That is just awesome. I hear they put on a really good show.Diligent said:Agreed! I can't believe more people haven't mentioned these guys.EatPieYes said:The Residents sure are pretty strange.

I know they're just opinions, but System of a Down? Tool? Manson? Surely this can't be the strangest music you've heard.
I've seen all of those bands and The Residents live, and The Residents are by far the weirdest act, and the only concert where I walked away a little scared.
Jesus FUCKIN' Christ, man. That Whitehouse...What the fuck IS that?Furburt said:Probably Whitehouse. I don't know what it is, they call it power noise.

Either that, or the Hello Kitty Suicide Club.

Gah, it's like someone trying to play Napalm Death on Doom!
This. So much this. I haven't really stumbled upon that many weird music and/or bands, but man, I love to hate Revolution 9. We have a kind of in-joke with a classmate of mine who's a Beatles fan, and he says it's the "one Beatles song he doesn't like".Disaster Button said:Revolution 9 by the Beatles.
