Speaking of, I did try it and I found it really...I dunno, unapealling. Might have been the slow start, but the grid based movement kind of contributed to that. Now, I know that it was a thing in the past and normally, I'm not really against it, really. However, I was introduced to M&M with number 7 and that didn't have grid based movement. Indeed, it had a pretty high degree of freedom in it - especially compared to other games I had played around the time). Even then, it also had some really funny constraints to movement (the jumping was hilarious, for example), yet at the very beginning, it felt more open and like it offered more freedom straight from the beginning. At the same time, Legacy didn't really grab me and the grid movement felt like an arbitrary restriction - it was like somebody made the engine and then somebody else went "Hey, Alex, can you also make the movement grid based? Thanks".
