Basicly- Scince penny Arcade mentioned it- im seeing a whole lot of folks tryng this out (Marathon pro, Lightweight pro, Commando pro and Tac knife) And just wanted your thoughts on it- i find it works very well but leaves you a little vulnerable. But as far as being fun to play- its got to be the most fun weapon set ive used.

Hellz yeah I've been using it. Its fun to run quickly behind the enemy team, knife all of them and then run away to safety.

(wasn't aware Penny Arcade mentioned it)

Oh christ, this set is fantastic-- since I've started using it, my average per-game killcount's gone up to 21.

My one problem with it is yeah, it leaves you a little exposed/vulnerable-- it would really be nigh-invincible if you could factor in cold-blooded somehow-- but I suppose that's the trade off.

Also, for some reason the Tactical Knife is a billion times more effective with this set it seems XD

I prefer stealth, using a silenced SCAR-H and a heatbeat sensor... unlike most people I find it incredibly useful.

I was using it since I got a tac-knife on my pistol, didn't know it had been posted as an idea.
Same thing happened in CoD4, i made a class with UAV jammer, Deadly Silence and a silenced MP5, then someone on some random site posted it as a good class I was like, "I've been using that for months!"

It is always a good idea to have a class that no one can find you. Especially for Objective based game modes. Sneaking into the estate while playing demolition on "estate" and silently murdering every defender is a jolly good time.

I haven't tried that myself (I tend to completely forget about the combat knife at close range anyway, usually just firing widly with my gun and hoping for the best). I did fall foul of a particular person who was using this very setup. I did get very, very annoying after a while, but they were a fellow Scotsman - Glaswegian even - so I let it pass. Just.

That said, you definitely can't knock Marathon and Lightweight as perks anyway.

I just started playing Modern Warfare two and I use all these all the time, I find that almost every kill I get is with the knife, I also use throwing knives for people who are two far away to knife before they shoot me.

I prefer tactical shield wall, it's funny to watch loads of people with shields moving slowly toward you.

you guys are forgetting the best thing. Get a 4 kill streak and the carepackage but DONT use it. Just run with it in your hand and you run almost twice as fast.

You heard it from me first.

You're welcome.

I love you. But speaking of care packages, who other than me loves to call those in, and if its not good, camp near it and wait for enemies to try and take it, then shoot them? it is so much fun.

I have been playing with this pretty much from the beginning... I think I started using it day two of its release or rather a similar as I didn't have the tactical knife at that moment... (Not that I'm claiming that I came up with it first)

Why knife when I can shotgun?

Akimbo Model 1887s kill anyone trying to knife me.
But when you knife you don't get noticed as easily and can much easier take out a group of enemies as long as all of them aren't looking directly at you from a distance.

Hmmm, didn't realize PA mentioned it... I just loved the idea of running around without a care and getting the occasional knife kill.

Sounds like a cool class I'll try that sometime.

It does strike me as a little wierd that the game calls itself Modern Warfare but makes you hold the knife like solid snake instead of attaching a bayonet to your gun like every military in the modern and dawn of firearms world..

I tried it a couple of times in 3[sup]rd[/sup] person cage match and really enjoyed it except I use a smoke bomb and I use my machine pistol when needed.I also sport a riot shield to really throw off the folks expecting a assault rifle duel or a game of headshots I really like it mixes up game play for both you and the other guy, I'd never use it for a team match unless the rest of the teammates were though.

by the way I fixed your post
