Yeah, it is sad that this is end of Geralt's story.
But I would take good end over bad drag any time of the day.
Enjoyed both games and hope conclusion of trilogy won't disappoint me

P.S. I really hope bases for potions will return and that this time we will be allowed to drink them during fights (like in first game)

I could not be more excited. The Witcher series are my favourite RPGs, rivalling (with the second game actually beating) even Planescape: Torment and Baldur's Gate.

Bases would be good, but the preparation element of the second game made me feel a whole lot more like the Witchers in the books than the "drink midfight" mechanic of the original. Helped to differentiate it from every other Fantasy RPG on the market as well.

Potion duration could probably stand to be a good bit longer, mind you.

Maybe if they do something in between- drinking while meditating would grant additional benefits and increase duration, while drinking in mid-fight wouldn't be advisable, yet still possible (there were several instances in Witcher2 when cutscene dropped me in the middle of the hard fight without the option to prepare to it).

Waaaaaaay ahead of you. I think its the only game I've actually checked in on he official website numerous times just to see when it was available for preorder. Preordered the same day it was possible.

Doesnt matter what else is released in 2015 its still my most expected game, and it will be glorious.

I wonder if CD Projekt will do more games in the Witcher universe, though?

As much as I love Geralt, it would be fun to explore the lives of some of
the other characters too, like Triss for example. As a Circle Sorceress,
she would bring new things to the series from a gameplay standpoint, like
telekinetic lifting and moving of things, rather than just the Force Push
style of the Aard sign. Teleportation, fireballs, lightning bolts...
spectacular spells that aren't really available to Geralt on the same
level that they would be to Triss.

And how cool would it be to get a glimpse of the internal politics that are
always alluded to between Circle Sorceresses, from one of said Sorceresses'
point of view?

I've got 2GB vram, and happy with what that gets me at the moment. I only buy mid-range cards and have a feeling 2GB will keep me going quite a while. but can't risk purchasing til i know
