The World And You, The Apocalypse

HEllo everybody! how are we all this Apocalypse free day? Now there have been many numerous ways people have decided the fate of the world but i do believe the next big one is... The 31 december 2012? is think based of the end of the Mayan Calander. (Feel free to correct me on spelling and date). I would like to know if anybody has any ideas about how they think its going to end, OR better yet produce your own ideas about when and how the world will end. Also for the year 2012 apocolypse i am curious on who will side with me saying the reason they stopped making the calander was because A) they were wiped out, B) they got lazy and thaught well we dont even know if the world will still exist here. Well we wont be. Oh well fuck it and left it at that.

Well, at least we have the assurance that the sun will do the job for us, in 4 billion years of something like that, when it fades out.

By the way, are we talking about the end of the earth or about the end of humanity? Quite a difference. Of course, we have kind of a problem when the earth is going down (as long as we don't have the technology to 'go where no man has gone before'), but the chance that mankind will surive for a few billion years is nihil. Even the earth's most succesful organisms haven't made it close to that amount of years. On the other hand, we should be able to survive pretty much every problem other organisms have faced since the earth started existing..

But I'm drifting off, I'd better quit this post before I'm talking about braintissue or the latest Bondmovie.

Honestly, prophecies are bullshit. I mean, the Mayans weren't going to make a calendar for every goddamn year...you know how much of their time that would have wasted? And I get sick of hearing people saying things like "Nostradamus predicted Hitler omg" when the simple truth is prophecies are people saying extremely vague things and highly naive idiots looking at it and deciding that a certain event was obviously what they were talking about.
