Damn it. I was hoping this would be an actual announcement for a console sequel to 2, not another handheld prequel that I can't play.

A sequel to TWEWY would have been nice, but I would be lying if I said I didn't get a fangasm when I heard about this. Love TWEWY to death, so seeing a character show up is just too awesome for words. As long as Neku acts like himself for the most part, then everything will be fine.

TWEWY and Kingdom Hearts coming together, even if its just as a cameo...

Well, nice to see Enix branching out to bring in characters from Different IP's. Although, i will say this much: Am i the only person who wants to see Caim from Drakengard in one of these games as an enemy/optional boss?

I mean, if you think about it, he's practically perfect: He likes to fight, he dislikes practically anyone in his way and has not so much fallen off the moral event Horizon as leaped into its depths with a running start and cackling madly. Granted, i realize he'd probably need to be toned down but...face it, if you needed an enemy/minor villain/optional boss for a KH game Caims more or less the perfect Candidate.

I admit this has sparked my interest in the 3DS, but I still wont be buying it until Nintendo comes out with the inevitable updated version.

Plus I'm way behind on the whole Kingdom Hearts Continuity thing. I played KH1, Chain of Memories and KH2, and I'm already confused.
Somehow I don't see the other games in the series clearing that up.

Birth by Sleep (KH 0) -> KH 1 -> Chain of Memories -> Days (In part, they apparently happen at the same time, but Days apparently ends where 2 starts) -> KH 2 -> Coded -> Dream Drop Distance

While BBS is a good Game, Terra, Aqua and Ven aren't necessary. Never needed them before, didn't need them now. Xion was equally pointless, added to make another Game. Master Xehanort? Come on, anybody who played 2 could figure out who this is without needing a extra story (where everyone is conviently stupid enough to do what he wants, when they met at the Keyblade Graveyard they should have just said ''You know, this guy says he needs this to happen here, how about we just f****** leave? Not like he can do anything without Ven.'').

Then there Naminè, I still haven't figured out how that is supposed to work. And now, not only is Xehanort coming back, but there is apparently going to be more then one of him...WTF!?

No, if you ask me, someone should have smacked Nomura at some point and yelled ''WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING!? THIS DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE!!!''

Characters in Kingdom Hearts, no matter if they are from another Game or not, are generally different Characters. This will not be some kind of continuation of that Games Story, it's more along the lines of a Cameo, the Character is changed for the World.

Tifa may or may not actually exist...

Tidus and Wakka live on the Island with Sora and Riku...and Selphie from FF8 lives there too...and they are all Kids.

In the same Universe, we have Yuna, Rikku and Paine, who are as anyone should know also from the FF X. In Kingdom Hearts they're Fairies or something.

So, yeah, generally the Characters from other Games in Kingdom Hearts have litte-nothing to do with their original Universe.

You make a bunch of good points. Birth By Sleep wasn't strictly necessary, but since KH2 wrapped almost everything up, they needed to think of something to keep the series going. At least BBS had a number of interesting insights into some loose ends (like why Roxas looks nothing like Sora), whereas Days was A TERRIBLE WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME! Xion can't even set anything up for another game, because

Anyway, as for having Neku in the KH universe, while you're probably right about him having little to do with the actual Neku in WEWY, I'm still apprehensive about having him. If they can accurately translate his playstyle into 3 dimensions (although likely without touch controls because, well, 3D) it could be cool. It could also be a spectacular flop.

And then there's adding the Reaper's Game to KH. Is it going to be like in WEWY, taking place on a parallel plane of existence and fighting the Noise? Are they just going to use Heartless instead? Will there be more WEWY cameos as a result of this?

Whatever direction they're taking, it's still a bit interesting. Here's hoping for more information soon.

Seriously...between the two of them and Cloud, Square-Enix's bill on virtual hair gel must be atrocious.

All three characters are designed by the same semi-talented artist. I say "semi" because his art isn't bad, but he really lack variety. He has the Akira Toriyama problem where all of his characters look exactly the same.

Anyway, I have mixed feelings about this. Kinda stopped paying attention to Kingdom Hearts a long time ago. I guess it still has a following, but I hope that a pointless cameo isn't going to be all the continuation that TWEWY is going to see.

He'll probably only appear in like 2 battles like Squall did. Ultimately the only reason that they are doing this is to draw in the fans of the world ends with you that aren't fans of kingdom hearts.

It's a bit of a longshot but maybe as a result they'll finally release the final mixes outside of japan in order to draw in a larger crowd.

If they do release them promise to send me a free cookie for my prediction. of course I still won't be surprised if they don't.

I'm a fan of TWEWY, but I have the creeping notion that Square Enix is just going to have him for one section in KH (along with being bound to KH's battle scheme vs WEWY's fighting). Although hyped at first, DNF has shown me how a game developer can really disappoint. Not to sound like a bastard, but I don't see much hope. If I'm wrong and the game is amazing, I'll eat my hat and shut my mouth.
