I'm sure a similar idea has been done here before but I was wondering if people had the chance to have their idols sitting round one table for the day who would they pick? To make things interesting though here are the rules:

You must pick the following:

1 Musician (you can have the whole band though if you can't pick just one from the group)
1 Writer
1 Actor/Actress
1 Comedian
2 Historical Figures
1 Gaming Character
1 Other fictional character
2 Wildcards (basically whoever you like)

No other restrictions. Doesn't matter if they're real, imaginary, alive, dead etc.

Mine would be:

Musician: Michael Akerfeldt from Opeth because he is a multitalented genius with an interesting sense of humor

Writer: James Joyce because then maybe he could explain to me what the hell is going on in Finnegan's Wake

Actor/Actress: Tony Jaa so I could try to convince him not retire so damn soon!

Comedian: Ross Noble because... well... he's insane... and hilarious

Historical figures: Charles Darwin and Sigmund Freud just because I'd want to see how they'd react to how much they've completely altered the way people think these days

Gaming Character: Tidus, so I could cut out his tongue and stop him ruining my otherwise favourite FF

Other Fictional Character: Dorian Gray because I'm guessing the guy knows how to get a party going

Wildcards: Dara O'Briain because for some reason I just think I'd get on with him, I've no idea why. Alasdair Gray because Lannark was an amazing novel and I'd love to see some more of his artwork.

Hmmm, well....

Musician: Cliff Burton. In a perfect world, I would be a super-duper healer person and raise him back from the dead so he can make more awesome music.

Writer: Phillip K. Dick. I bet he could make some awesome dinner conversation

Actor: Daniel Day-F***ING-Lewis. I would force him to personify Bill the Butcher at the table because that would be rad.

Comedian: Christopher Titus. Quite possibly the funniest man I have ever listened to, and I would want to hear more crazy stories from his childhood.

Historical Figures: F.D.R. and Col. Josh Chamberlain (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joshua_L._Chamberlain). Good stories from these two I bet.

Gaming Character: Joker. Simply because I would like to see see him attempt to pass the tea pot. Hehe.

Other Fictional Character: Hermione Granger because (at risk of sounding like a total toolbag) she's smoking hot.

Wildcards: Emmitt Smith because he's the greatest running back of all time and the entire Washington Capitals team so I can smack some sense into them and get them playing better hockey.

musician- Johann Bach, to revel in his genius.
writeer- why one damnit...i guess Lovecraft....or Arthur C Clarke...or Ayn Rand...or Douglas Adams...
actor- Bruce Lee, great guy, and probably has some chinese tea recipes to use.
comedian- Gabriel Iglesias would be infinitely entertaining to have around.
historical- Theodore Roosevelt and...lets say Rasputin; thatll be fun.
game- HK47 of course...he wont drink up any of my tea, and he'll provide constant hilarity analyzing all the famous meatbags i have around.
fictional- Spock, because i think Teddy Roosevelt would remind him of Kirk.
wildcards- lets have the Comedian (Watchmen) and myself from 10 minutes ago.

greatest tea party ever.
