Died today, I found the story to be very reveiling tale about how it must have been to grow up before the turn of the last century. I can only hope to acomplish half of what this man did.

The best part through: 'Allingham, who was the world's oldest man when he died Saturday at 113, attributed his remarkable longevity to "cigarettes, whisky and wild, wild women."'

I think the man was a legend.

Here is the article about the man. [http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090718/ap_on_re_eu/eu_britain_obit_oldest_man]

The worlds oldest man changes about once a month recently - Who's held the record for the longest?

Or more to the point, Does the person in question know[/I] they hold a record?

Although OT - That man was a living legend. =)

Hmm, information that needs to be shared with all the world's greatest doctors. Medicine isn't the key apparently...

Live healthy and you will see less of those. I ran into a 90 year old man from time to time in the mtns. He walks up a mtn in the Cascades daily.

When I see someone that has lived that long I think of all the things the person must have seen, the wealth of knowledge and wisdom they have to offer. Then they simultaneous poo, and spit-up and I figure I should have gotten there when they where 70. Joking aside I can only hope to archive half as much in my life as that man has.

Yet he didn't. He made it his lives work to make sure people never forgot about the sacrifices of his generation.
