A game that is directly ported from a movie. Man they really are horrible, it's practically all the interesting parts of a movie glued together, then fiddled with to make it interactive. Seriously though, don't support them and if you you DO name me a good movie-game, i will give you TWO cookies and a glass of milk. :)

The worst game I've played was one on the N64. It was a fighting game. I don't remember what it was called, but I think one of the fighters was named "Gore". Not Goro, this wasn't Mortal Kombat.
Was one of the fighters like an arabian guy with a turban?
And the character select was so broken it would always choose the wrong character? I think i vaguely remember my cousin having it.

The only game people should be mentioning in here is Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing. The highest it ever scored in reviews is 1, and the only places that gave it that only did so because they didn't have a 0 on their scale. It's literally the worst game ever. It was released in a pre-alpha state. I'm not kidding. Look it up.

It had to be done.

I'm surprised no-one in here has mentioned Two Worlds. Verily!

Alone in the dark, the game was 85% unfinished in every aspect and completely broken.
I also had the worst luck cause i bought it for the ps2 instead of the 360 so the graphics were godawful.£50 on that piece of shit, never again.

Worst scene : wandering around for 2 hours trying to finish a puzzle, only to realise the game had glitched and i couldnt do anything, also the game didn't have an ending it just.....stopped....no conclusion or wrapping up.....

Action 52, I actually have that game.

It's rather epic in its failure.

Anyone that says Halo, Half Life, etc. are just trying to stir up trouble or are struggling to get their two brain cells to operate in sync.

Yes that gets my supporting vote. As far as games of the current generation, THAT game was fucking awful. Nothing like LLL: Love For Sail. :p

X-Men Origins: Wolverine: Uncaged Edition (yes, I know the movie was crap, but the game was awesome!)
I can haz meh cookies and milk?

OT: Worst game I ever played was some PS1 game called Special Ops or something? The maps didn't load all the way, there was no clear method of getting your objectives, and if you somehow managed to complete a mission, you had a time limit to make it to the evac chopper (which I always heard, but never found).

Then there's Resident Evil Outbreak. Those stupid AI! One of them tried to kill a boss with bug spray! I wish I was making that up!

(If demos count) Killzone 2. That game made me realize my distaste for FPS's that use R3 as the aim button and cover systems. And what kind of enemy announces to the world that they're "THROWING A FRAG!" And then there's your partners. If they get injured you can heal them, but if you don't, they lie there and ***** until you do.

The worst game ever made would obviously come down to something like E.T. for the Atari 2600, Superman 64, or The Big Rigs, but the worst game that I have ever played it Soul Caliber: Legends. My god, what a horrible game.

I'm sorry, Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing? Could that even constitute as a game?
Seconded.
It's the only review I've ever seen where they decided to just show straight-up footage of the game without needing to speak a word:

No mention of of the infamously god-awful Sonic 06 with it's many glitches and plotholes in an already thin plot make this one of the worst games on the xbox 360, it's worst than Clive Barker's Jericho and Too Human as they just about playable.

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. Bad writing, bad gameplay, bad controls, bad level design, bad art direction, and a sea of technical errors. Oh, and pedophilia.

In short, that game was BAD. And creepy.
Them's fightin' words. I get that this topic is all subjective, but to call a Zelda game, ANY Zelda game the "worst game ever made" is barbecueing a sacred cow. And inferring that Twilight Princess involved in pedophilia? Sir, that kind of accusation is something you can't throw out there without explanation, so I'd like to ask for one.
Any Zelda game eh? Ok: How about the ones on the CDi? Providing GEMS such as

"I wonder what GANNON is up to?"

"Shadalaa!"

Mah boi, this peace is what all true warriors strive for!"

And thats all from ONE SCENE of that game!

There was once a game I was tempted to write a full review on just to spite it. Then I realized said game is so obscure only 4 people would recognize it and like it for some odd reason.
That game is Dreams To Reality. Reason why is spoilered to spare you the wall of text. (Also if this could be moved to reviews I'd be much obliged. I didn't think I would ramble on this much :p)

Dreams To Reality is a 3d platformer published in the late nineties. The main character is a chap called Duncan who looks like Twinsen on steroids. The plot has something to do with dreams (duh) and some evil folks who are trying to...exploit them or something. Duncan is some kind of champion of dreams, I think. While I'm sure there was a plot in there somewhere I never managed to grasp it. The game just plops you in after a pretty but quite uninformative cutscene. While there was the occasional NPC to talk to, they never had anything very useful to say. Most of the time I was running around wondering what to do and usually got forward by accident. Not that there's much room to get lost, most levels were bare rocks floating in limbo with no details besides the critters or objects to bash/use. Then there would be a cutscene or simply a loading screen and suddenly Duncan is in a completely different location with a new task that is rarely told.

Okay, so the plot sucks(I think?). A game doesn't need a compelling story to still be fun to play. Too bad Dreams To Reality is a frustrating piece of crap gameplay-wise. Duncan controls well enough, not flawlessly but not like a mammoth in a tar patch either. Problems arise with environment. By default, Duncan attacks by punching or more often kicking. The high kicks look intimidating but half the enemies are too low to get hit. So Duncan kicks above some gnome's head and gets a return favor right in the family jewels. Gnomes are really common in the game world and some are allies. How do you tell the difference? If it kills you after getting attacked it was an ally you were not supposed to attack.

Duncan can also fly, which was the single fun part of the game. Too bad he runs out of energy pretty fast and there's usually nowhere to fly to. There are many levels where the game decides it's time to do some platforming and suddenly you can't fly. These sections are really fidgety, mostly due to the fledgling 3d engine that makes judging distances tricky and also because there are steady looking surfaces Duncan just falls through or slides off.

Along the way Duncan gets various superpowers from simply shooting with a bow to turning invisible, or mimicking any creature. They add much-needed flavor and might have saved the game from being the shites shite ever...if the user interface didn't fall short again. Whenever Duncan opens the skill window he spreads out his arms and rises slightly off the ground. While it looks nice the first few times it gets old fast. However, opening the skill window doesn't pause the game. In fact, Duncan does this slow repertoire while the enemies are STILL APPROACHING. If he gets hit, he gets interrupted. As I recall you had to do the same thing to open the game menu for various other things such as, oh, SAVING. Need I explain further why this is terrible game design?

So playing Dreams To Reality is a series of frustrating trials and errors where you never know where you are, what you're doing or why you're doing it. My final verdict is it deserved to be forgotten.

I don't remember a lot of details about the game. I seem to remember there being at least two female characters, and I think it had a Tekken-style 3d map system. Also, you used the yellow C-buttons to attack and block and such.
