No one has mentioned Open Water? I'm rather disappointed...
Oh I completely forgot about that movie! That was a pile of shit. I turned it off about halfway through.
There have been several movies I watched and just turned off because they're bad (I.e. Repo - Genetic Opera, Twilight, Tokyo Gore Police) but the one movie I sat through and just regretted every painstaking minute of watching it.... well, there were several actually:
1. Across the Universe. Great music, don't get me wrong, but the completely phoned in, half baked (no pun intended) story that completely steals the entire playbook from the musical Hair just bothered me. I expected more from Julie Taymor
2. Pearl FUCKING Harbor. What a completely misleading film trailer. I'll all excited about the historic retelling of one of the nations most tragic events and I get this film that focuses more on some two bit love story than actual history or the respect of any solider who was there. Complete and utter bullshit. Watch Tora Tora Tora instead.
3. Splice. What a complete waste of my time. It set me up for this really cool, "frankenstein"-esque type of movie and all I get is some lame pseudo-science, a few scenes of interesting gore, and Adrien Brody fucking a pterodactyl. Oh, and Sara Polley getting raped, also by a Pterodactyl.
