I have no idea but my father claims that a rotting human body is the worst smell out there. A guy commited suicide in his crawl space in winter at his old house and they found him in spring.

last week my brother took a electric screwdriver to his belly button, and it was disgsting. It was like old ballsack, old cheese, 20 years of sweat accumulation, and metal UGGGH

I live in a city that gets hot in the summer, and I used to work at an office that was behind a Mexican restaurant. The smell of that restaurant's grease Dumpster at eight in the morning when it had all night to fester and ripen...I'll never forget it.

Also receiving votes: The city of Gloucester, Massachusetts at low tide down by the docks where they process the fish catch into fish sticks, the smell of vomit, and the special brand of body odor that happens when the air conditioning breaks and you've got a morbidly obese girl for a roommate...who has hygiene issues in the best of times.

Try using a vaccuum cleaner to suck up some water. Then take out the bag and take a good whiff.

EDIT: This may screw up your vaccuum cleaner. Alternatively, try pouring some water on a used (full) vaccuum cleaner bag.

This entire flipping TOWN in the U.S., somewhere between New York state and Pennsylvania (I don't know, I always zone out during the drive.) The whole town is built around a paper factory or something, it smells like vomit, cream of broccoli soup, and gym socks. Do NOT drive through there with your window down (though my dad does to piss us off.)

We drive through there every time we visit family in Pennsylvania.

The bathrooms at my school. The toilets don't get flushed a lot of the time, graffiti everywhere. Hell, one time they found out that some kid had decided to take a dump in the sink. New teachers are always amazed at the steel bladders most of us possess.

I'm not sure about the world, but the worst smell I've personally experienced was a grease-trap that hadn't been cleaned or indeed opened in about 6 years. A busy kitchen's accumulation of grease, blood, juices, and othere nastiness, just building up over time. My crew and I opened it, and two guys vomited immediately, I gagged abit, and someone at the other end of the restaurant in the bar said they felt sick, and what the hell was that stench. If you've ever had to open even a relatively clean trap on a regular basis, you know what I'm talking about.

A couple of things:
- Rotting stuff, especially flesh.
- A full ashtray, especially those big one's on trainstations (those make me gag).
- Accumulated mouse piss and droppings, happily suddering in 30 degree heat for a few days. Gods, and I had to clean it out...

I have a really bad gag reflex sometimes that causes me to choke and induce pained tears in my eyes if a foreign scent or taste hits my senses. It's random though not all the time but it does make it hard to cook, especially around barbiques.

Dead Body, no way to aptly describe what it smells like. But coupled with the knowledge of an individuals life being extinguished and the odd funk it has its a truly haunting experience.
Damn Ninjas

The smells you are talking about come from Putracine and Cadaverine (both primary di-amines).

Also Thiols really stink and they are really hard to get the smell out of your clothes

Stop, your making me blush!

Thats what happens when you are a necrophile chemistry student. You learn pretty quickly what smelly shit to avoid.
