Me and a friend was just playing RUSE. Fun strategy game, especially when it goes from slow chess-bickering to insane frantic chaos.
We were playing 2v2 against two other guys.
And then it happened.
My friend was happy (over TS 2), said we just won the game. I asked him what the hell does he mean, there are enemies in my base and he is being heavily bombed. He was confused: he said that my army just took out the guy on the left (who was, from my point of view, killing me), and that he is bombing the right base into oblivion as we speak. We were, not surprisingly, shocked. Then he announced the game just told him that we won. I was still in the game, so were his units, but he wasn't. Then exactly what he told to have happened, actually happened. I took over the left guys base, bulit an army and sent it against the one on the right, while his bombers were killing same guy. Then I won (alone), because he (the friend) surrendered, five minutes before the end of the match (i gained his units) - at which point he says he already won it.
Now, I might be missing some very strange info about RUSE here, but I simply couldn't wrap my head around it. Maybe my friend's just fucking around? His reaction to it all sounded a little too sincere to be just a joke.
Anyways, to add discussion: Has something that you couldn't explain for the life of you ( that was absolutely shocking) happened to you before? If yes, elaborate.
If no, I will break your physics too.
