Well, what can I say? Since yesterday I was sick. Last night I tried to post this thread but some bull shit happened *like an internet hiccup* and once more I'm joyfully doing this topic.
This thread is basically about the weirdest thing you ever felt when you were sick or an incredible amount of bull shit you once had to put up with when you were feeling ill. *Like maybe going to work and the boss giving you a shit load of work, his way of saying 'you're sick? Fuck you!'

I recall one time I was sick back when I was in middle school where I felt so terrible that I had troubles even getting up. My head felt like it was burning, my body felt seemingly hollow, and I felt incredibly dizzy. After awhile of lying in bed I finally got my sorry ass up and made my way to the parents room, hoping they'd have some pills. In the back of my mind though, I somehow had this odd feeling that when my journey came to a close there would be no pills.

And I suppose I was right, because when I got there no one was in the room, two minutes later I woke up finding my self exactly where I started. A burning fever, me being incredibly hot, and the dizzyness seemed even worse. A second time after trying to get the hell out of bed for a few fucking pills I made my way to the room, surprise! No pills, I woke up again in the same state.

I had two guesses on what the hell was going on. Either I was literally in hell and I was living a constant parado- okay, fine. I'm not that stupid. My honest guess is that each time I tried to get up I actually fell asleep. Finally after this bull shit continuing constantly I finally got up and got my damn pills. I was tired, I was weak, but I was too afraid to fall asleep knowing that I'd be too tired to move when I woke up.

I was sick for about two months before going to the hospital last summer. I even took my school exams while sick, and didn't do all that well due to nearly fainting during them. I had no energy and had quite a lot of pain in my stomach for those two months. I lost about 20 pounds as well.

I ended up staying a week in the hospital, underwent quite a few tests, and was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease. I've been pretty good since then.

Does this apply to hangovers?

If so, then the worst would have been carrying the telephone poles up the mountain to build a dam. The only reason we were told to do it that day, was because of how hung over we all were (the people we were there with had a very dark sense of humor) and that particular day was the coolest (only 104F in the shade.)

I don't complain about being sick anymore.
I have a friend who amongst other things has MS, and the medication makes her nauseous to the point where she can't even keep water down. Her blood pressure will rapidly drop when she sits or stands or walks. She constantly gets tired, has trouble exercising, gets insane migraines, and a lot of other issues as well.

She never complains. She just keeps on trucking. She's an inspiration to me. No matter how sick I am or how bad a day I am having, she helps keep perspective for me.

I had terrible poison ivy for about a month when I was 9 and the last time I had the flu I threw up in about 6 sessions with about five vomits per session (in the end I vomited pure water).

I became sick once because our teacher made us do the Cooper-test outside. In the winter. While it was raining.
The fact that I have astma doesn't help either and when I finally reached the finish line, coughing and trying to keep the snot from driping out of my nose, my teacher said that I didn't even make it in time to get a zero.
That was a real slap to the face.

I had mild sunstroke (proof kiddies that outside is evil and you should never venture away from your computer) and woke up in the middle of the night utterly convinced that I was in the ruins of a wartorn town from the book that I had been reading before going to bed. Seriously I even mistook the bed covers for rubble (rubble is fairly soft right?).
