#635 Finally! A Dark/Dragon pokemon, i belive that's suitably epic and of course i can't wait for the Electric/Dragon either. (Why, yes. Dragons ARE my favourite types of pokemon, in case you didn't notice)

EDIT: It's really weird, but they really didn't put in a singel Fire/Dragon until now either. It's like they never got the concept of dragons breathing fire.

I've tried to keep an open mind but i'm convinced this is the worst generation yet.
A lot of them don't look too bad but they just don't like like pokemon at all, i just can't imagine myself catching these in the wild.

Besides my hate for most of them though i do have a few that i really like Every generation has it's gems.

according to serebii Ononokusu (#612) has a base attack of 147. correct me if im wrong but that would give it the strongest attack of any pokemon ever.

Nope. We still have Deoxys (150), Deoxys Attack Forme (180), Groudon (150), Ramparados (165), Rayquaza (150), Regigigas (160), and Slaking (160) with higher base ATK stats. Not the highest attack stat, but Ononokusu comes after the rest of the ones listed, slipping in right above Rhyperior.

OT: Dammit. I was gonna not look at these Pokemon until I got the games. Ah, well.

Although I'm not really surprised that some of them look like skin changes, rather than completely new Pokemon...hmm...

Do you really belive they'll EVER stop this? It's gonna go on forever 'cuz people love the games even if the pokemon don't look like real creatures anymore.

My personal opinion now is that they shoudl remake Red/Blue for a consol, give the games decent graphics and change in-game stuff like gameplay mechanics instead of just setting you out on the same journey just with new faces, place names and freaky-looking creatures.

And what do you mean "look like pokemon"? Last I checked, pokemon designs varied far too widely to fall under any one idea of what a pokemon "should" look like.

And besides, pokemon are more than their looks. Infinitely more.

I was thinking this a while a go. A 3rd-person Pokemon game. You get to start in what ever region you please and can either go through a personality test to get different starter Pokemon (Aipom, Magby, Elekid etc) or you can just take the regional starters. Same maps as the game boy games, maybe including Airports and expanding the towns and cities. Also the Pokemon levels in the wild and with trainers, follow the level of your current party Pokemon.

I think it could work, but Nintendo own it, and i can't see that happening.

This gen is like all gens before, including gen 1: Hit and miss. Yes, even gen 1 had some that were stupid when you stop to think about it (Magneton, Dugtrio.)

There is only one real gripe I have, and that is the fire/fighting starter. Enough, already! Blaziken was good, Infernape was awesome, but let it be! Try a different combo. I admit, this one is the most varied in terms of quality IMO. Most had either "most of them good" or "most of them bad" ones. This gen has ones that range from "Absolute Awesome" to "Complete Shit".

I'm actually positively surprised. I didn't like most of the pokemons we had seen up until now but there are some really good ones now. I like them more than the last generation pokemon.
