Personally, I really like what I'm seeing here. They all look pretty interesting, although I'll have to wait until I actually PLAY black and white to know which ones are my favorites.

Personally, I'm really digging the type combos this time around. There's some interesting choices there, including a first that I don't think anyone has noticed yet, the very first flying type with no other type. I was WAITING for them to get around to doing that.

Admittedly, I'm slightly less fond of the legendaries this time around. I feel like, once again, they've put too many in there, and I only REALLY like a couple. But, eh, small complaint.

Really, most of them remind me of pokes from the first gen, and in a good way. There's a couple bird in there, like Pidgey and Spearow, the prerequisite Pika-clone, a new fighting duo, and even a poke to replace Voltorb, that Mushroom-pokeball guy. Familiar, but new. And I think that's what they were going for in the first place, so mission accomplished, in my book.

...Gear? Really? REALLY? I'm sorry pokemon, but you guys need to admit you've run out of ideas. the first two gen of games were great, and they had awesome design. Third had a few decent, fourth was pretty "blech" imo, and this....meh. I really haven't played a pokemon game since third gen (that was ruby and sapphire, right?) and I'm kinda glad I left when I did.

Just took another look at them, slightly more "in-depth"...and there's an ice-cream pokemon. Fuck it, why not.

This changes things....how? It's still a pokemon that looks like a gear, and it's named "Gear". It being the Japanese name doesn't make it any less un-imaginative.

Japanese don't use the word "Gear" so it's new for them ,they wont care.

"So they made a gear pokemon, named it gear, and are using the word for "gear" in a language the people don't know so they won't "catch on"? You really aren't making a very good case for this :/ Unimaginative name is still unimaginative

They are saying "GO SPARKLE SQUEAK" and are not complaining about it.

Gear will be named something completely different here. Sure it's not the best name they could of picked but picking sparkle squeak in Japanese really isn't imaginative either.

Okay, fair enough I suppose, you don't like either one. That's your opinion. But Gear has an eye too, two of them in fact. Well, four if you count the two eyes on each part. And yes, they are eyes, it's just that one of them doesn't have a pupil is all.
