So, I've been told that my thesis proposal is due in 48 hours, and being the ditz that I am, was not even aware of it.

Now, I want to do something close to my heart (and therefore, easy) so I decided to do my thesis on Gaming Culture, particularly its growth, development and what it is today. My professor, however, wants me to cite book references.

My query henceforth, is as such: Do you know any books about gaming history and gaming culture, and what are their titles and ISBNs?

What kind of thesis is this? Masters? Or like a B.A. thesis for graduation. Either way how could you not have known about it?

I don't really know of anybooks, I'd say you'll just have to check lexis-nexus JSTOR, or academic onefile(or whatever library resources your college/U uses for stuff.

Well, the professor just waited until the middle of midterms to announce that I have to submit the proposal, which is what I'm working on right now.

Usually it's a good idea to do something in your field of study. Mine for my MS was that ciminals and deviant behavior are necessary to all socities. It was one of the hardest things I've ever done.

Yes, I know don't cite wiki as a source but it can lead you to other more legitimate sources.

Look for Henry Jenkins; he wrote a book with a title to the effect of "something, fans, and gamers." His bibliographies will probably be able to forward you to some good stuff.
