So I thought I'd make a partner thread of sorts to the "They got the character wrong" thread. In what adaptations of books/films/TV/whatever do you think they nailed a charater spot-on?

I really like Alan Rickman's portrayal of Severus Snape, because he's pretty much just how I'd imagined him when I read the books. Also, Jeffrey Dean Morgan's Comedian in Watchmen. One of the best things about the film, because his performance was brilliant.

Lisbeth Salander in the original Swedish version of the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

Noomi Rapace did an excellent job.

Steve Rogers in Captain America and Avengers. I would have never believed Chris Evans could pull off the role prior to seeing him in "First Avenger". Now I can't think of anyone else donning the Stars and Stripes.

To add to the Captain America point, Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark. Perfect casting.

Oh, and Andy Serkis as Gollum.

Actually, he's a bit too similar.

Don't tell me you're gullible enough to believe the lies of the movie company. That was clearly the real Lisbeth Salander and not some actress. Nobody could do such a good job. So m vote goes to Ian McKellen as Gandalf.
