I'm just glad that Best Pictures nominees are what they are because after the Golden Globes I honestly thought some random shit like The Tourist or The Expendables would be nominated.

Nolan not getting nominated for Best Director is kinda annoying, but Tron getting snubbed for Best Score is more disappointing. Though I would've still wanted Social Network to win that .

I'm also hoping James Franco wins Best Actor, but I know that's not gonna happen. Bale will most likely win Best Supporting Actor. Hoping Social Network gets Best Picture with David Fincher also getting Best Director, but not too sure if that will happen.

If David Fincher doesn't win, then the Academy will have lost all credibility.

Nolan keeps getting snubbed time and time again. He's gotten commendations from the Director's Guild THREE TIMES and NEVER gotten a Best Director nomination. It's probably because his films are never pretentious enough for the Academy voters. Hell, The King's Speech reeks of Oscar bait because it's everything those old farts LOOOOOOOOOVE.

His films are usually the equivalent of Spielberg's, so I'm sure his time for recognition will come. In the mean-time his financiers are laughing all the way to the bank

Since Aronofsky, Fincher and the Coen brothers are there I can not really complain.

That TRON Legacy didn't get a nomination for effects or music is a bloody travesty. Seriously.

The visual effects nominations are a fricking joke this year.

Thank you! I was just about to set off on a big bloody rant about how they were robbed for those very categories. It was my favorite damn movie from last year. It deserves better.

Whatever your opinions of Tron, they deserved credit. As did the effects guys.

As for Nolan: whilst it's criminal he was overlooked again, I'm expecting Dark Knight Rises will win everything next year. Only fair, surely?
