in the mornin'...before the night is through.

Has anyone else watched the latest 3:10 to Yuma that came out in 2007? I can't get over how good this movie is. Something about it just makes me wish I lived in the Wild West. I know it wasn't all like this, but damn...the sense of wonder and justice just makes me wish I was there. Are there any movies that give you this feeling?

I unwilling was forced to watch it my a friend a few months ago (I hate the WIld West with a passion!) but after seeing it I couldn't believe how good it was! I actually went out and bought it on Blu-ray a few weeks later! Thinking that this greatness would transcend across the whole genre I went and rented a few other westerns.... oh apparently it does not.

I REALLY enjoyed "The Illusionist". I thought it was really well done and everybody should see it. It's one of those movies that you're going to want to watch again as soon as it's over to catch the things you missed before. I don't want to say too much more because I don't want to give it away. I'll just say that I feel it's a must-see.

I also enjoyed the movie "Troy".

OT: I really do NOT like "The Marine". I thought it was terribly unrealistic. I'll give credit where credit is due. Marines are tough (I'm former U.S. Army and joke about the USMC but they have my respect.) Anyways, I remember reading an article about the movie in which the "star" of the movie, John Cena, talks about the difference between "hurt" and "injured" and went in to the movie expecting that type of logic...sadly, I was disappointed as he goes the entire movie taking what would kill a normal person and shows very little reaction. The only time he seems to actually be hurt is when he gets hit with a fire exstinguisher (or something like that). He drops to a knee, catches his breath, and then continues to fight as if nothing happened. I'm sorry, that shot alone would break ribs which would make it very difficult to breathe, let alone fight.

Yup. Got to hang you.

But the 2007 3:10 is a good movie, but you should watch the 1957 3:10 in last few hours of your life.

I've heard only good things about that movie. I have to get around to renting it.

Hmm...I've heard that the older one isn't worth watching, but if its that psychological than I must get around to it.

I was kind of wondering that whole movie why they didn't just shoot him in the middle of the woods when his gang was on the way to YUMA and not have to deal with any of the problems Mr. Wade caused.

Justice and so forth...

Mostly, I believe its because his gang would do far worse damage without their sane leader. He might've been a badass, but at least he had a head on his shoulder.

I loved that movie. My motto in my profile is from it!

I don't really wish I was in the universe of movies... Usually there is so much trouble. I guess the Lord of the Rings kind of gave me that feeling, although the books moreso. I would love to live in the world of the Dresden Files. Then again, maybe we do >_>
