Things about skyrim that worry you?

Not much, really. The closeness of the gameplay to Oblivion worries me slightly, but the removal of enemy regenerating health and the added weight to each blow reassures me.

Funny how most posts are anti-Skyrim rants by people who were anti-Oblivion. Honestly, everyone forgets the Bethesda-ness of Morrowind due to nostalgia. Most of the reason environments seem dull currently is because how much gameplay footage has anyone actually seen, and does ANY of it come from somewhere other than the first 20 minutes of play? As for werewolves, if they do or don't show, why do we honestly care? Last time they made it into the series, it was bonus content. As for finishers, they are probably optional. As for being unable to bblock with a spell in one hand, doesn't it only seem logical that the other hand's weapon will do the blocking? Unless you are dualcasting, in which case you should be able to utterly demolish the opposition regardless. And if you're really worried about defense, by all means cast with your off hand and carry a weapon in your main hand.With the user interface concerns, wasn't the fact that the UI faded from sight when not being affected pretty much the first feature we heard about? Also, as for the environments. Why do you honestly expect lush greenery from the icy north? I expect, and want, craggy mountains and tundra. I'm sure there are tons of forests too, but I really don't expect swamps. By the very nature of Skyrim, I expect a whole lotta fjords and other viking things. From what I've seen, I honestly have no worries whatsoever aside from the usual glitches. And how ridiculously unfair dragons are likely to be without that first Shout you need to even the odds.
The perk's they released suggest that you cant really do much of anything well without having them, kind of like the old talent trees in world of warcraft. Which bothers me a bit cus I was hoping to make a guy that raised like all 18 skills at some point, but it just seems like regardless of level most of the skills just won't be worth anything if you dont sacrafice a health chunk of your perk points to them.

Graphics are really, really bad. This is a AAA studio making a massive game. How does it still look like crap? There is no excuse. This is not a small studio.
Console made in mind. Oblivion was this. Fallout3 even more. And I do not have the patience to play any big-name console titles anymore. I got half way through Mass Effect 2 - hating every bit of it.

Well, Oblivion and Fallout 3 both had utterly garbage stories, so that's a small worry. Other than that, I'm confident that modders will fix whatever Bethseda does wrong (including most of the bugs).
I also hope there are some better companions than standard Bethseda fare, but it's not a make-or-break thing

Nothing really. I really enjoyed Morrowind, Oblivion, and Fallout 3. Bethesda makes very enjoyable open world games, and despite their many flaws, I'm sure Skyrim will be fun to play. The first time I was disillusioned by a sequel was Quake II, in that it was nothing like Quake, and in my opinion was rather crap. The last time I expected anything out of a sequel was Doom III, and I was sorely disappointed. I'm done being worried about a game, or building up expectations, if it's fun it's fun, if it's not it's not. I'm not going to lose any sleep over it. But hey, even if the game has problems at least I'll have 500 square miles to wander around in.
How about the fact it's being made by the same people as Oblivion, a game I'd compare unfavorably to getting pelted with garbage?

I'm holding off for at least a month before buying it, so I have time to read lots of other gamers' criticisms of it, because I trust gaming journalists to give an accurate assessment of its quality about as much as I'd trust them to perform open-heart surgery on me. If it sounds like the problems I had with Oblivion have been addressed and not simply carried over to Skyrim, I'll buy a copy. If not, I might pick it up for $10 in a couple of years... maybe... if I can't think of anything else to spend $10 on.

That's the number one thing that worries me the most. Immersion is something Oblivion lacked for me--it's environments were absolutely stunning, but the instant I started moving, and realized I was just a floating camera sliding across the ground, it broke the feeling for me. Thank goodness for the head-bob and first-person body mods. That fixed it a little bit.
But the big thing was doing things in first person. I always felt like I was being ripped away from my character whenever I sat down or whatever, and the camera cut to third person.
With Skyrim demonstrating how much more often we're going to experience our eyeballs flying out of our character's skull to rotate towards the perfect angle to witness our body slashing a troll in half or whatever, I'm worried that it's going to damage potential immersion even further. Unless it has a 'No Exterior Camera Slow-Mo Kills' option, which would be a saving grace.
Got to say the conversations with npcs (that is, player talking to an npc) looks a helluva lot better in real-time than Oblivion and Fallout 3's FREEZE THE WORLD, THE PLAYER IS SPEAKING.

I played the shit out of Morrowind just before Oblivion came out. Then I played Oblivion for quite a while before concluding that it was a complete turd and that too many of the things I disliked about it were beyond the ability of modders to fix for it to ever be more than mildly entertaining. Then I started playing Morrowind again. It was still good, and the things about it that I don't like are very easily fixed with mods. Since then, I've played Morrowind on and off for years, and the experience has not become any less enjoyable.Nieroshai said:

I'm worried about bugs, PC unfriendly UI and controls, and a weak main storyline.
I'm actually glad they got rid of the old level up system. Lack of classes are a non-issue. Classes in Bethesda games are just pre-selected abilities that usually failed to actually make you excel at your role since you leveled up too quick and then got your behind handed to you.

Ah, I guess the only thing I'm worried about is that maybe the world won't feel big enough. When I played both Oblivion and Fallout 3 the first time through, I felt underwhelmed by the world size in comparison to Morrowind (which I found out is because you walk really friggin slow in Morrowind. The world is actually much bigger in Oblivion).
I feel like they restrained the world size in order to keep the game on one disk for the XBOX, which kind of feels like sacrificing gameplay for marketing.
