Ah, I guess the only thing I'm worried about is that maybe the world won't feel big enough. When I played both Oblivion and Fallout 3 the first time through, I felt underwhelmed by the world size in comparison to Morrowind (which I found out is because you walk really friggin slow in Morrowind. The world is actually much bigger in Oblivion).

I feel like they restrained the world size in order to keep the game on one disk for the XBOX, which kind of feels like sacrificing gameplay for marketing.
Well, apparently they did it through "dynamic effects". The Escapist actually covered it not too long ago:
According to a previously leaked half-hour Skyrim walkthrough video, developers claimed they were able to handle the majority of Skyrim's environment utilizing "dynamic effects." Essentially, what this means is that whenever the sun sets during a rainstorm, allowing your argonian vampire to stalk the poor people of Dawnstar, the game applies these filters on the fly to already-produced textures as opposed to having the need for a second texture set for each condition (i.e. an argonian texture, a wet argonian texture, and a wet argonian in the dark texture are all simply "an argonian" with different filters that can apply to all other textures as well).

Nothing. Nothing at all. Everything I've seen so far showed nothing that worried me. I'm sure I'll have a great weekend doing nothing but playing Skyrim come the 11th.
I'm with this guy.

There hasn't yet been anything that struck me as "really".

Every single choice they've made has been very appealing to me.

The fact that the game is 6GB and that there's 5 towns in total. Also they removed acrobatics and atheltics, super-fast Khajiit is no more.
I guess that is a little bit worrying.

Though where did you hear that it was 6GB? That's less than Modern Warfare 2.

Edit: I just looked it up and there are much more than five towns. From the count on this map, there are at least nine.

I retract my statement, I think you got a lot of false information.

Nothing.

Infact I am currently orgasming in anticipation of Skyrim. This orgasm begun at the dawn and end of time itself and has been quitely leading up to the 11/11/11 at which time I will blow the earth out of orbit with celebratory ejaculation.

Their is not a doubt in my mind and the pure euphoric glory that is my hyped up opinion of Skyrim is world curshingly naive. But I fear not.
Naive? Probably. But I envy you for being able to feel that.

For me its,
-The UI is a bit weird and bland
-From the videos ive seen the majority of the environments seem a bit grey and gritty compared to the lush green environments i loved in oblivion
-im not sure about the finishing moves in combat that you have no control over (there sort of cut scene type things)
-The way the health mana fatigue bars are layed out and how big they are (i suppose that comes under UI)
All I can think of right now, it still looks amazing and i'll be picking up my preorder on 11.11.11
As I've actually had a chance to play the 30 min demo during Eurogamer Expo, maybe I can answer some of those concerns.

-The UI is simplified. Personally, I liked it, because it was informative but never obstructive.

-Skyrim is set in Skyrim (Duh! :p), Which is a northern part of Tamriel, with lots of mountains. These have been done exceptionally well, but are obviously a lot greyer than the grassier tundras and forests (Which there are still plenty of). The Dungeon I played was a bit dark and brown, but it was underground so that's not really surprising.

-The finishing moves are cool! (In my opinion) I remember them being random/last enemy. You can't be attacked during them, so you can just sit back and watch (good for pacing in hectict combat?)

-The health and mana bars are huge. But they aren't visible unless there is a change in one of them (And only for the ones that changed). This allows you to have a completely clear view when things are calm, but also very clear visual indications of when you need them (hence, the oversized bars).

I hope that calms some of your concerns.
Incidentally, I had no interest in Skyrim until I played the demo. My brother adored Oblivion, but I could never get into it (same with Fallout 3). He was very excited about playing the demo when we were at the expo, and since it was only the two of us, I decided to come with him and try it as well. I've been hooked ever since.

Hmm.

Well, thinking about it, Assassin's Creed 2 was a 5.2 GB download, and that was a pretty big game with decent textures. I don't think we have much to worry about.

I'm worried about bugs. It's Bethesda, guys.
This. Just because they've changed the crapshoot engine doesn't mean the new one is bug-free or that Bethesda has suddendly become the master of removing bugs.

What worries me is that the game might still assume I need to be told where to go at all times.
If I could, I'd just have my objective as a plink on a map and a compass telling me what direction I'm facing. Then when I get into the general area, it's up to me to search.

If I recall, they had a spell to help you locate your objective, so I'm hoping that that's the crutch to fall back on instead of little pointers everywhere telling you where to go.

I want my quests to treat me like a detective more than a meathead who just wants to kill things.
That said, I still want to kill things.

I also want to have multiple followers so I can have a pet dog and a charming young elf thief at my side at the same time.

Oblivions UI was actually atrocious. I modded mine to hell just to get it looking semi-decent. This new UI works fairly well.

You mean the entire one of them?

-im not sure about the finishing moves in combat that you have no control over (there sort of cut scene type things)

They mix up combat a little. Combat in Oblivion was decent, but I never used close-range weapons just because of how dish-water dull the combat was.

I think it looks pretty amazing actually. Not a thing I would change.

I'm worried that I'm going to lose sight of my goal like I did in Oblivion and in Fallout 3 because the main quests are all of like 2 hours long, and the other 99% of the game is completely worthless side-quests.
You may be pleased to know that of the developers' in-house speed run contests, the current RECORD is 2 hours and change. That's roughly twice as long as either Oblivion or Fallout 3.

Nothing has really worried me. The only thing that has angered me though is the pussies who are crying about "No More Cast Button". I've seen it enough times to make me a little pissy about them.

However I will say that Skyrim being over-hyped may end up being under-appreciated, which I already see many cases of close to its release.

That I will starve to death while playing.

In all seriousness, the combat still looks a little stiff, and TES has never been a series for emotional or thought provoking storytelling. I'm sure the writing will be fine, but I don't expect to be enthralled.

But TES is about personal discovery and achievement, so I probably won't even notice the main plot if it fails to grasp my attention. And while the combat looks like it could be more fluid, the presentation has never been better, and in sandbox games the combat is as much about roleplaying as it is instant gratification.

I'm worried about whether or not the melee finishers will be only at the end of combat or not, and whether you'll be damageable during them or not. If it's something that can only happen at the end of a combat, and there's no chance of being screwed over by losing control of the action, then ok. If they can happen any time during combat, I'm going to be really annoyed. I imagine it's going to break the flow of combat if I'm in the middle of hacking and slashing and burning, and suddenly find that my flurry of button pressing is going unrewarded.

I'm also a bit sad that birthsigns won't be a part of this game. That's a "it doesn't mesh with the continuity of the universe, since birthsigns in that universe really do play a role in an individual's creation" issue for me though.

I'm in favour of the no-class system, though. In Oblivion setting up your character poorly or not understanding the leveling system until 40 hours in meant you'd be screwed beyond on reason. A good build was meant you had to choose the skills you'd use the least as main skills, then carefully grind minor skills from here to Secunda and back before finally using your main skills to actually gain a level. It was tedious and boring, and most importantly it wasn't fun on any level. The way this new system is set up, you just have to play any way you want, and you'll get more powerful in those abilities without having to mess around with attributes. The whole point of attributes were to define your base damage, speed, health, encumbrance, luck, and magicka reserves. Now you get health each level up, and can add to either your health, magicka, or stamina pool. Stamina now determines encumbrance, weapon skills directly determine weapon damage, and (presumably) speed and luck related upgrades are going to be available as skill tree perks. It's a much nicer system, in my opinion.

I'm worried that the interface will be made with console in mind and it won't be easy for PC players to use. Mind I'm not too concerned about anything I can't mod out eventually.
