A long time ago there was a thread on another game site called "1000 things I learned from Hitman" in it you talk about the things you learned from the hitman series. Examples could be

"no one can swim except for assassins"
"a suit jacket lets you hold unlimited coins"
"if you see your boss getting murdered by someone the correct course of action is to scream and get the killer's attention"

and my favorite "After someone's bodyguards have all mysteriously died of 'lead poisoning' it's really fun to find their employer cowering in a closet and then unload 3 whole clips into the door".

They don't have to be attempts to mock video game logic they can be anything you 'learned'.

So I think we can make a game out this. The game is is that you make a statement or two about what you learned from a game and the next person has to guess which game you're talking about. And in case anyone's wondering the original thread did get over 1000 things (with some repeats, especially the coin thing).

I'll start (these are both from the same game but you can do multiple games if you want, just specify).

"Magnetic grapples help you make impossible turns"
"Going from water to pavement, to sand is totally doable on a jet ski".

The average guard has an attention span of several seconds, though in some cases, promotion can lead to a memory increase of up to two minutes.

Oh, right. We have to guess them too. Uhhh, yeah, probably!

Burning one's pants on lava is only possible to do three consecutive times without the consequence of passing out for a second.

I think that's either Crash Bandicoot or Ape Escape

Nah, it's Mario 64! :D

Injuring yourself also harms the world's supply of watermelons.

Harvest Moon?

Wearing armor made from glass is totally viable. Also Glass weaponry, whilst breakable is easily repaired. LICK THAT BROKEN GLASS! LICK IT GOOD!!! :p :p :p

Not as good as arms made from ice though. Go figure.
