how about he fact that it took 5 FRIGGIN HALO GAMES BEFORE YOU CAN SPRINT! honestly, it's sad.
the only games that i think that sprinting is needed is battlefield games gears and mass effect

all the others are either annoying or unnessecary

edit: the unforgiveable thing for me is modern warfare 2

all of it

Farcry 2 was hyped as a go anywhere do anything to complete your one objective. Take out jackal. That's a lie. You've got malaria! You have to handle some other pricks affairs. He gives you tasks. You complete them. You live longer. (this is tried and true. The formula has been in existance for years and will probably never go away.) Pissed me off, the false hype, that I have yet to ever play more than however long it took me to get that crappy shed in the beginning.

Hellgate: London and Final Fantasy XIII.

So much dissappoint, I harbour a deep grudge for both to this day.

The CPU's ability to nudge up the difficulty when they fall behind, usually in sports games or racing games.

I realize now the folly of my ways for liking MW2 so much and that being said, I have to say that I finally realized that Activision cannot be forgiven for MW2 and all crimes that it's sparked. For example:

$15 dollar map packs that are actually worth at least $5 dollars, no more than $8.99

For making such a bad game become so popular that millions of people play it and forcing the greedy sons a' bitches over at Activision to think that pay to play on an FPS is a good idea.

Retarded killstreaks and killstreak whoring.

Not play-testing their game before release.

Making me waste hundreds of hours of my life practically worshiping a piece of shit.

I find Activision guilty of Douche-baggery in the first degree.
So let me get this straight, you hate a game that gave you hundreds of hours of gameplay? Sounds like someone is just jumping onto the bandwagon in order to look cool.

My biggest pet peeve is Microsoft Points. I know why they were made, and I hate it.

THAT'S WHAT I'VE BEEN SAYING FOR SOOOOOOOOOOOOO LONG! How much do play testers cost to a giant like Activision? Heck, you could have given a beta to a few random people and then ask for their feedback. Infinity Ward is a very talented developer. And the game would have been WAY better if Activision didn't keep screwing it up. IW had the game finished, they sent it in to Activision. Activision kept sendign the game back to IW for last minute changes. Each change screwed up the game a little more each time, until the game sucked. heres what happened:
IW: "Here ya go Activision (mutters: 'ya douche bags' under his breath)" the game's done.
Activision: "The AA-12 is a little too powerful, so double it's damage and triple its range. In fact, just do that to every gun in the game."
IW: That's a terrible idea.
Activision: Shut up and do it or I'll fire you.
2 months later
Activision: You're fired.

DLC. Full Stop. It's just their way of squeezing a bit more moeny out of you, if you didn't put it in the game, it's obviously not that important. And if it is, well then you'd have bought an incomplete game.

EDIT: Also release dates being announced AGES beforehand. Curse you Bungie...I've been waiting for months for Reach... I seriously can't stand it any more.

No, I actually got MW2 to be able to play with friends from school etc.

I was genuinely enjoying it for a while, but one day I just sat down and realized that the game sucks.

On the PS3 they still hadn't fixed the care package glitch, and I had just grown to hate the constant camping and killstreak whoring. Not to mention the Speed-knifers and noob-tubers.

Not to mention the idiots who think you should be shot for not having a positive K/D.

Once I realized this, I couldn't get it out of my house fast enough. Needless to say, all the people I played with were pissed, but at least I don't have to deal with that shitty game anymore.

Ruining promising games by changing the feeling of the first one(s).

I shall now commence the evil staring on 'Condemned 2', 'Silent Hill Origins/Homecoming/the new one', 'Shadow Hearts: From the New World', 'Devil May Cry 2' and 'FEAR 2'.

The entire concept of DLC rankles my feathers considerably.
On a more specific note, what happened, Spyro? As soon as Insomniac let him go (and arguably before... the third game was the beginning of the end to some people) he more or less died. Tragic.

The closest you are going to get is a realistic server on Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45. Pity none still run, but the vanilla game also is probably the closest. Still not true to real life but much closer than anything else.

Other than that (and the subject of my Final essay at uni) "The Introduction of Voice and its detrimental value to Video Games" (this was about RPG's, not shooters and other games of the ilk)That games like neverwinter nights/Mass Effect one had soo much backstory due to the fact that it was all written down in texts found within the game world that you had to read. Whereas even the second neverwinter nights they went and got rid on nearly all the ingame books and reduced all backstory to interactions between characters. Nearly all new RPGs are reduced now to action games with a story that you can change in a few places.

For me it's the vast majority of space flight games (even those I nonetheless like overall) - with the exception of the Star Trek games - whose interstellar (or even interplanetary) travel is utterly dependent on jump gates - or fixed locations where the conditions are 'just right' for you to use your jump drive to travel along strictly fixed paths between A and B, an idea that's only good for throwing explorative freedom out the airlock as well as making you far too easy to logistically cripple, see Egosoft's X series of space concentration camp simulators or Tachyon: The Fringe.

So far it clearly looks like the upcoming Infinity: The Quest for Earth is the only game to take a sensible approach to space flight, it's just a shame it's taking so bloody long but then again, the dev team is small enough to comfortably fit in a lift, so I can hardly blame them.

I cant forgive the gaming community for not buying more Dreamcasts, and thus knocking them out of the console race

assassins creed brotherhoods laziness by using the fact in the second you didnt kill rodrigo borgia because your a sissy to use his son to create a new game from it. why? so much easier to strangle the bastard and come up with a new storyline.
Well there were things that happened with Rodrigo because Ezio didn't kill him, for one he raped Catalina, I got bored one day and read the bios. I was like shit why didn't we take that fat bastard down. =O
