So all of us have that actor who we just can't take seriously anymore due to a film they were in, or something they did, others have that certain song that had its meaning completely changed due to it being connected to a memory, or seeing it used in a certain manor.

For me, there are two actors who are like this. The first is Robert De Nero. Sure, we all know him as the tough cop or mobster character, but after watching Stardust, I've never been able to take him as seriously as I did before. Sure he was in a few comedy movies, but never did they ever change my perception of De Nero.

Also, I can't listen to Hungry like the Wolf anymore with out seeing Paul Giamatti dancing around in only swimming trunks, due to Big Fat Liar.

So what things have had your perception of them irreparably changed?

Saint's Row II made me realize how bleak and bland GTA IV was. Ever since then, every time I thought about GTAIV, I immediately think "Nah, screw that. SR2 is more fun."

Also, going back to Mass Effect after the sequel feels like reverting to a beta build, though when I first played ME I thought it was the Best Thing Evar.

Tom Cruise for the obvious. No, no, not the couch gag. The scientology interview he had a year or two ago, and the fact that he was the guest speaker at one of the Scientology conventions where he was second only to David Miscavige(the head honcho).

When you see someone nutty join an even nuttier organization and defend it like a zealot it really puts a damper on going to see Valkyrie.

Taxi Driver is on my top 5 movies list fo sho, so I made sure I wouldn't watch that garbaggio. Thanks for reaffirming that decision.
It was actually a very good movie, and De Nero was very good in it, so I think you should at least consider watching it, it will just be a little hard to think of him and not see him prancing around to the music.
