1989 to 1996 was a great time to be young. Too bad traditional animation has fallen out of style.
Very true, but you know what has also fallen out of style? Snarky, pop culture-referencing CGI movies. And thank Christ for that.

Seeing movies like How To Train Your Dragon and Tangled makes me somewhat hopeful that the era of Shrek-induced shit is finally over (Eventhough Tangled was obviously marketed as such).

NSYNC and the Backstreet Boys. I curse the day they left the glorious spotlight.
I was out for a run the other and passed by a car at a junction. I stopped. I stared.

That car was blaring Backstreet Boys, Larger than Life from its bassy bassy speakers. What a fine day that was.

I remember, in the mists of 2004, everyone loved The Rasmus. Then, they didn't. Odd that.

Skating boarding games, music games and platformer games

It's a real shame, I grew up with those series and I think it's a really lame era to grow up with, at least in gaming. I mean the majority of games are fps this generation and most are gritty grey shooters and I think it's really sad
I usually avoid "realistic" shooters and I can always find somthing to play, sure There are dry spots now and again but its not that bad

Teen sensations. Not that they've gone out of trend (FUCK!), But the teen in itself goes out of popularity. Then they go into drugs and make babies.

I'd like to say the bad pun + CSI Miami "YEAAH" meme. Bad puns are already terrible, they don't need a terrible friend. But I don't know that it's actually stopped being popular yet. This is more of me hoping I can will it into (rather, out of) existence if I focus hard enough.

Pogs, anyone remember those?
Yeah, I threw out (well, recycled; they are basically cardboard) a bunch of them that had been in my closet for probably 10 years or so last month. Of course, they have been unpopular for so long that I'm surprised anyone remembered them. And then bam, two people mentioned them here.
