Nothing makes me cry except close family death.
The one thing that gets me closest is the cover of Hurt by Johnny cash, along with the video.
Others to a lesser degree are ballsack punching, Green Mile and pet death.

The last 4-6 or so episodes of the anime series Wolf's Rain made me tear up so bad that I had to go get some paper towels in the kitchen. It was just so, so sad and beautiful at the same time, i was ambushed by all the emotion. I'm pretty sure the people who've watched the series can somehow relate, and if you haven't watched it, do it.

Sorry, didn't cry at the Muppets, I barely cry, but I'm a cynical, emotional wreck so no wonder... However, recently watching Bolt realy gave me 'misty eyes'

I wanted to post that one as well, it's 1 of the few things where I ever shed a tear (other then being in terrible amounts of pain when I was a little kid, that doesn't count). I didn't even shed a tear when my grandpa died, although I was maybe 8 at the time, nor when my first great grandmother died when I was 12 or something, nor when my óther great grandmother died when I was 15 or something (yea think that's about 3 years ago now). Not even the cat I grew up with from birth to my 15th died while we were on our way home from holiday, the cat that lied beside me while I was a baby. I didn't shed a tear. But the brave little kiwi...that really got to me.

Yeah that song was crappy. I could tell why some people would cry when they watch the video with it, but mostly it was just stupid emotional bullshit that some idiot came up with. I like muppets as much as the next guy sure... Though I was also the one who wanted to know what it would be like to set Animal on fire. As far as the test of having a soul being based on this video I would reccomend you change it to a simple question. Have you ever been happy that someone you know died? If yes then you don't have a soul.

No words on this Earth can describe what I just saw.

The one time I did tear up from something was when i watching "Saving Private Ryan" and they were all in that one church.

Wayne? was explaining to the guys about how he would pretend to lay asleep at night when his mom would hurry home excitedly just to talk to him, but had to settle for stroking his hair as not to wake him.

All she wanted to do was talk to her son...

sniffles*

This book called "I Will Always Love You". It's a children's book about this kid who's dog dies. My mother bought it years ago to make my brothers feel better about their dog that just died. It's safe to say that it didn't work. In fact, it made the situation much worse. I always refer to it as the worst book ever because it's so damn depressing.

The best scene from the Fresh Prince. [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bxulantPiXI] Really makes me get all misty eyed every time. I challenge you to watch that and not well up even a little.
I agree. This is actually sad, because it's convincing. Will Smith is such a good actor.
Wow, some of the best acting I've seen from the younger Will Smith.

That was pretty good I can see how it's sad it quite didn't get me going though.

Things that get me going are the ending of the episode of Futurama involving Fry's dog,
the ending of MGS3,
the op version of Lilium from Elfen Lied,
Elfen Lied itself,
And the entire of the manga; Saikano just remembering that one nearly brings me to tears with the soul crushing cruelty of it all, that and the anime; Now and then, Here and there for pretty much the same reason.

Things that nearly get me going but not quite are
Johnny Cash's rendition of Hurt,
Aeris' death scene in FFVII,
Grave of the Fireflies,
the end of FFX and the normal end of X-2.

oddly enough physical pain doesn't make me tear up at all unless it's to my nose or the top of my head
and I don't cry when family and pets die until months after the fact and something reminds me of them.

That new call of duty game brought a few tears to my eye. I had no idea things were that bad back then. Plus the fact I'm a very soft hearted individual.
War is hell! How could you not know things were that bad? You would do well to remember that.

When I tried to break up with my girlfriend for cheating on me (turns out she didn't, my friend just wanted her and spread a rumor). I told her, and she looked at me with those soft brown eyes with tears rolling down. She hugged me and told me that she didn't cheat. I hugged her back and we sat there for about fifteen minutes, crying together.

The part in 28 days later, when he goes to his parents house, and finds them dead in their bed (having committed sucide using pills and wine). The he finds a picture of himself as a child in his mothers hand, and on the back is written:

"You lay asleep, and now we sleep with you...
Don't wake up"
(Not the direct qoute, just what I remember)

I am not 100% sure why it hit me so hard, but I just teared up.. and in front of all my friends and a bunch of girls we had over to watch the movie with us...

That was bad..

PS: Although I blubbered like a baby a bit, it DID get me a lot of female attention that night! LOL! My friends were so pissed, cause I had like 4 girls with me on one couch, and my two friends were stuck alone, together, on the other couch.. XP

Lets see...

The song JCB (I forget the band atm).
Seeing a box of kittens be torn apart.
My dog dying (yet to happen, thank god).

...internet failing.

Yes, I would defenitly cry at all of those things. ESPECIALLY the internet failing.

And when I say fail, I mean a complete and total destruction of the internet.

-Injured or dead penguins. Don't even START!

-The ending of 'It's a Wonderful Life.' When people start pouring into the house and giving him the money he needed and they're all telling him how much he means to them. Every.damn.time
