Grave of the Fireflies is, to this day, the closest an anime has gotten to making me teary eyed. And that doesn't happen.

Also, according to my friends who are into anime and such, End of Evangelion was the source of many a manly tear.

The bit in Apollo 13 when contact is re-established after re-entry makes me choke up. Other things include the bit in The Lion King where Simba mourns his father and I was recently moved to floods of tears by a graphic novel about Laika.
