I don't think I would be too far off the mark by saying a lot of us are a little jaded. We don't get excited a lot, and it takes a lot to really reach us...sometimes. So I'm asking, what are some of the things that really surprise, shock, excite or even horrify you?

For me, it would be recently when I saw one of my favorite bands, My Chemical Romance, preforming a song on the children's show 'Yo Gabba Gabba'.

This just really surprised me. It had me grinning like a idiot for hours, and what surprised me the most is that the song is pretty good!

I am a pretty excitable person at times! Hell, I get mesmorised my videos of explosions, the muppets and interesting flavoured hot drinks...

I also FLIPPING LOVE ZOOS!! Especially Penguins, Meerkats, Prarie Dogs and Lemurs! Man they are awesome!

I also get excited when watching films! I get really into them!

And if I hear a new song that is AWESOME! Like recently (think: Yesterday) I heard Knife Party's Internet Friends the other day, and it reminded me of a girl I used to speak to when I was younger... Complete Psycho! So I got excited and posted it into messags on friends facebook pages!

O well, gotta go, have a new mint hot chocolate to try...! :p

....settle down Beavis. But no really, glad to see your such a bundle of unbridled excitement and joy. Just don't drink too much hot chocolate chocolate. I fear for the earth if you drink a lot.

Haha! Don't worry I can reign it in when I need too! Like I need to a lot for work!

Its more just excitement born from having simple interests, and the ability to find any small thing exciting! Like trying to stay high spirited on Military Exercised, where you do 10 days where your working hours are 0600-0001, and you are living in a field, and have no access to and form of entertainment, and its damn cold, and damn wet (Melting snow... Not good!) Its at that point where people realise they need people like me! :p

At least one half would realise they needed you. The other half would be split on whether to kill you or kill themselves. Not to be mean, but I've some bad times with overly happy people.

Haha! Dont worry... I'm not as bad as you think... I just played it up to make it more beleivable... Imagine if I just put 'Meh, most things excite me, if I can be bothered...'
Doesn't have the same ring to it! So I wrote a few of the things I enjoy in the style of an excited teenager!

You're right though... I have met people who didn't like me because it takes a lot to get me down and squash my morale...!

Oh don't worry, five mintues alone with me and you'll be looking around for paper to cut your wrists with...or at least some bleach to drink.

Heh, I'm kidding...mostly. It's good that your happy, whatever works for you. As long as you don't go around expecting others to be just as happy as you. And on the bright side, maybe this talking has bumped this thread up, so I'll get more comments...if I were only so lucky...

Haha! That's what I was thinking too! Its never good when you try and start a discussion, and it never surfaces! Sometimes I don't get it either! This is a valid point, and I am quite interested to see what makes people tick!

Especially some of our more Emo members, it would be interesting to see how poeple with a very different mindset to me think, and what can flick there switch to 'max'!

We all have our emo moments. Sometimes they last longer then others, but we all have them. I remember mine...they weren't pretty. I find the best treatment is to go and sit in the emo corner, and sooner or later you'll get bored and find something else to do.

But your right, it would be nice to have some other points of view.

I'm not sure what the pic is from. I know the whole 'emo corner' is comman in anima, so just look it up on google and you'll find something no doubt. I'm to tired to look, it's nearly 11 pm here.

The Universe

No matter how many documentaries, no matter how many times I look up at the sky, no matter how many times I hear the same information over and over again. It absolutely awes me every single time.

Even the little things shock me. Next time your in your car remember for a moment that your speedometer is lying. Truthfully your traveling at 558,000 miles per hour or roughly 155 miles EVERY second. This is how fast the Earth is moving in space. That means if you were in one hell of a car and drove the circumference (the distance around the Earth from its longest point, the equator) it would only take a little over 2 and a half minutes to travel the entire distance of the Earth. And thats just how fast WE are going.

Jebus Christ, I never thought I'd see the day when My Chemical Romance dresses in bright, primary colors.

I've seen MGMT and The Killers perform on that show; pretty neat music performances considering that it's a kids show on Nickelodeon. Have your band appear on a kid's show, and you just carved your band's name onto the Wall of Win (or the Pillar of Fail)

Me? Japanese commercials and videos.
You haven't seen Danger Days, have you?

Still, it's a little surprising.
