Mirror's Edge. As it was, it was a good game, but not something I would call "Awesome".

The Village, i think it was..

All the "scary monsters" outside the village was only people in costumes.. Man that info was a movie killer, and they tell you that 20 mins into the movie making the rest of the film a huge flocking dissapointment..

Oh god where do I begin?

Darkest of Days
GoldenEye: Rogue Agent - The idea of playing a Bond villain was fucking awesome, but then they made him a psychic...
Hancock
The Matrix
Freelancer
More to come as I think of them...
Oi, what's your problem with Freelancer? I rather enjoyed that game, and my copy glitched out after the end mission.
I enjoyed it too, but when it came to point where the council, or whatever were actually some ancient psychic alien... things, yeah kinda threw everything into disarray for me. I don't quite remember everything exactly, but I do remember the nomads being pretty damn stupid.
Well... yeah that was kinda silly, even though it wasn't excellent all throughout, it's still one of the better space games out there. I think that it is more awesome than not-quite-awesome still. You have to admit, the end mission environment was fucking epic.

Sorry to get all political on you, but Cleggmania. After the first leader's debate, Nick Clegg and the Liberal Democrats' approval rating skyrocketed, but they actually managed to make a net loss of seats in the General Election.

Final Fantasy X if it didnt' have such a whiny main character could have been a game that I would not be as ashamed to admit that I actually enjoyed.

Yes it was, albeit a tad of a pain in the ass, but still epic. It also paved the way for some truly amazing mods, such as the Star Wars Freeworlds mod. However, as much awesome as it had, that ridiculous plot twist, for me, still earns it passage on my "almost awesome" boat.

The Max Payne Movie. I love the story of Max Payne. When i heard it was going to be made into a movie i was in high spirits. I figured, it's a crime conspiracy movie. how hard is that to get right? It seemd the perfect premiss for a movie...to bad the end result was a horrid piece of shit.

Although our opinion differs, I certainly do respect yours for the sound logic on which its based. I may have to check out that mod, it sounds kinda neat.

Outcry.

It could be awesome, if it was longer, or had a sequel.

Also, when I played the Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time game. Groovy graphics and all, I was excited, but then I discoverd I suck at 3D Zelda (unless it's on the DS).

Dark Void.
It was do cool, with such a unique central idea. It's a cross between Gears of War/Uncharted cover-based third person shooter, alongside the under appreciated Crimson Skies simplified flight controls. But then the game just up and ends. The horde-mode style DLC sounded good, but they missed what made the game fun.

Simon Pegg, I was expecting him to develop to an apex of awesomeness but then he made how to lose friends and alienate people such a shame considering spaced, shawn of the dead and hot fuzz
