I sometimes wake feeling terrible and notice tears in my eyes and my pillows covered in tears and i'm all "Huh?" then usually end up laughing myself to sleep. Rinse and repeat.

Well, it all depends on where I am for me. When I was younger I used to sleep walk. We used to have a sliding glass door and I would go and sit right in front of it. My mom would be up reading and tell me to go to bed. Apparently, I would get up and go into my room, but when my mom went in to check on me, I would just be sitting on the end of my bed.

I still do sleepwalk occasionally though. I slept over a friends house and walked into his mom's room in the middle of the night. I supposedly started petting a blanket that she had on a chair and she kept asking me if I wanted the blanket but I would just make a weird "Hmm?" noise and continue petting it.

I also mumble a lot if I stay up really late. This has been confirmed by multiple people.

I have a friend that twitches in his sleep. It can be pretty amusing. He will just be laying there and all of a sudden his arm will shoot up in the air and fall back down. I've seen his legs do the same thing.

I can talk to people very uusing very limited vocabulary and making no sense and apparently impossible to wake. I've been told that i was slapped hard repeatedly round the face after falling asleep sober and not waking.

My girl says I snore. Loudly.

Also, I seem to kick off anything I'm wearing below my waist. Shirts are fine, but any underwear or socks will end up on the floor. Apparently I need some freedom in my sleep.

I sometimes act out my dreams apparently.

One night after watching Fellowship of the Ring, I had a dream I was fighting orcs. I woke up to a slightly bruised, irritated, and very tired husband.

My husband is more interesting. He has sex in his sleep. It's... special lol.

I kick in my sleep a lot. Sometimes I'll roll myself up in the covers too. I'll fall asleep normally and wake up as a burrito.

Wait...what?
He looked it up, it's called "sexsomnia". Sometimes in the middle of the night I get woken up to him trying to get on top of me. It's actually kind of amusing.

I've never been told what I do when i sleep but i have heard some funny stories about people who do.
There was one guy i knew who said one night he woke up with his bum in the air and his hand down his pants.
There was another kid who sleep walks and he spent the night at my house. He got up, grabed the home phone and put it in a frying pan and cooked it. Someone said to him "How's the food looking?" And he mummbled "Mmm Good."
And another guy I knew talks in his sleep and said randomly in his sleep "Sorry for my hairy ass but we need more lemon pleage."

Good times.

Edit: I have nothiced something that has been happening to me for a long time and if someone can please explin it. Sometimes when i'm sleeping I feal like someone is lifting the top part of the bed and i'm about to fall. I open my eyes and my body goes back to a flat state.

i actually have heard that in some cases it's been better when they are asleep than if they were awake. the same happens to you?

any how so the mods don't kill me, i once kicked my foot board off my bead in my sleep. it wasn't broken before i kicked it off. i used to sleep walk also like the time i woke up on the back of the hill behind my house at 3 am in the winter

that could be due to the loss of natural equilibrium in your sleep during the rem cycle. it's not normal, but it's not uncommon either. if it get's to bad it may be a sign of something worse and you may need to consult a physician...either that or your telepathinc powers are developing XD. but seriously try to sleep sitting up for about a week and see how that works out.

Fun fact for all you science-y types: most events where you have a conversation, get up and do something, etc during the night without remembering it the next morning take place during stage 4 NREM sleep (delta brain waves) since, before REM sleep, your muscles are still capable of voluntary movement even though your brain activity is composed entirely of delta waves leaving you otherwise oblivious to the world.

But yeah more on topic, I once told a girl to get out of my bed while I was still half asleep (no idea what the hell I was thinking there, even half asleep). I guess she was rather offended, because as she went to leave I woke up fully and asked what was going on. It made for a funny conversation the following morning, at least.

Most of the movements are simple REM (dream stage) intrusions. Unless they are everynight/ making you excessivly tired during the day, you have nothing to worry about right now.

The things i do when i sleep range from twitching myself awake to half waking up and not being able to move, that sucks.
Also sometimes I'll dream that i woke up and got out of bed, than dream that i woke up from that dream, got out of bed again, then wake up for real and get pissed.
On a related note, don't eat several packs of peeps before going to bed, it's not a good idea.
the not being able to move thing happened to me several times and it's terrifying

also my friend once turned off the video game I was playing

This has been happening for as long as i remember. How can it possibly get worse? And i've tried Telepaphy, I can only get spoons to move.

I just move around alot.

When I was younger, I had a friend staying over. I fell asleep and when I woke up he told me a great story.

"I was playing games, and I saw you keep moving around in your sleep. Then you rolled over really fast and slammed your head into the wall. I thought you'd wake up from the sound or the feeling, but you just stayed asleep."

So...that's where all my brain cells went...

I twitch.

The manner in which I twitch is influenced by the dream I am having.

If I am having a jumping/falling dream (the ones where I dream that I either jump off a ledge or just, for no other reason than to do so, jump really freaking high and then come back down), my legs curl really fast like I am absorbing the shock of landing. I got a bruise on my knee from whacking the dresser next to me like this.

If I am having one of those dreams/nightmares where bugs are crawling on me, I physically try to swat them away, normally waking myself up (but still feeling crawly, irritatingly enough).

The other night I had a dream in which an extremely large guy had grabbed me by the midsection and was burying his fingers into my stomach (by extremely large, I mean that he was doing this with a single hand), I woke up with my stomach in spasms.

I know I'm not the only one who has physical reactions to dreams, but mine definitely seem to be more...enthusiastic.
