I saw avatar a few weeks ago, but I just couldn't take the Na'vi seriously, Seeing annoying blue creatures that make loud noises to get someone's attention called Na'vi made me flash back to Ocarina of time, and I almost died laughing in the theatre.

So I ask you users of the escapist, what serious things are you unable to take seriously?

I can no longer say anything like that around my friends without them laughing - it's ridiculous. :D

We have to use words like "arriving" if we want to be taken seriously.

Unfortunately... I cannot think of anything which I cannot take seriously :(
I take everything seriously, wear a blank mask as a face, and I am generally bland...
Hmm... I'll have to go find something serious and force myself to laugh at... oh
I know.
I laugh at blood, gore and suffering.
heh heh heh...

I am simply unable to let that phrase go unnoticed. Nowadays I need to bypass it with the nearest adjacent word, like "appearing-on-the-scene".

OT: Queen Anora's rallying speech near the end of Dragon Age: Origins. She just sounded like a bad voice actor. I laughed, and the moment was ruined.

No matter what you tell me or show me, they shall forever remain prepubescent, immature little boys to me.

Animal rights activists, not because I don't like animals, but if animals get their rights, how long until we get vegetable rights activists?

My friends and I say: "That's what she said." "That's what your girlfriend said." "What a coincedence, I said the exact same thing yesterday.... to your girlfriend." after everything that can even sightly be caught in that context. For instance: Me: "It went much better the second time." Friend: "That's what she said."
It's actually much less fun when you write it down :(

Pretty much what this guy said. Don't let THAC0 see this post though.

Also Wiggers. I mean when I talk to them they seem like decent people... but the way they dress
