Since no-one wants to participate in wordy discussion, here's a list thread for you all. What kind of weapon, real or fictional, would you prefer to have in a nose-to-nose encounter with something that wants to eat you? Or maybe if you need to clear out a room full of heavily-armored enemies?

Note that you'll have all skills needed to use the weapon on decent level (or even "HOLY CRAP DID I JUST DO THAT" level, if you try really really really hard).

I'd take Borderlands' Vladof Hammer. It's essentially an auto-shotgun shooting explosive pellets in hammer-shaped pattern - how cool is that?

I'm assuming I magically have superior skill and ability in using any weapons. If that's so, I'm quite fond of wielding a Katana or a Scythe against my foes.

I'd want the Nuke Weapon from Turak.

*rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr* *Boom*

Everyone but me is frozen and I can kill them at my leisure.

A good old fashioned double barrel shotgun, specifically the one from Point Lookout. I love boomsticks more than almost any other weapons from anything ever. Come on, what's not to like?

The horrible accuracy for one, and the high rate of mechanical hammer failure.

But other than that nothing say "This guy means business" like having two barrels shoved into your face.

Fisto!
Seriously. The Fisto! can punch people heads off SO HARD, that their head flies off and the rest of their body leaves the legs behind.

my bass,

Enough decibel's applied to any part of the body, will result in the desired effect of them leaving life.
