The Far Side comics by Gary Larson.

To this day no comic sketch has ever been as witty, humorous, and full of such thought.

I miss having the imagination to amuse myself. When I was a kid I used to play with action figures with my brother and we'd go on huge 'quests' together. Then we'd play a game like streets of rage and make up our own story to it. We also used to do spoof radio shows with my dad's old tape recorder. Nowadays, I find I can only be entertained by other people's imaginations (films, games, music etc) and not my own.

Oh man, me too.

I also miss all the classic 90's and early 2000's cartoons.

Man I totally did that!
And you know what? I do it for a living now!

More on topic, I miss the fun I had with Lego. Whenever I see my nephew playing with Lego, I try to play with him, but end up taking all the Lego to make a 'better' version of what he made, and then he goes off to play with something else, and I'm still sitting there with the Lego building away until my wife or my sister tell me to stop!

I can't help it. Lego is awesome.

Megas XLR and Batman: The Animated Series. The world is a lesser place without them, and I fear for the younger generations that have never known them.

I miss my step-brother and -sister...I moved half a country away to go to college, and we haven't been able to be together since Christmas. One of the greatest memories of my childhood was playing video games with them; we'd make up jokes when we played the games, and we'd exploit the silly situations...like in Metal Gear Solid, you could place a shit-ton of C4 down and knock on the wall. When a guard came running, you could blow him up. Then that would trigger an alarm and more guards would come running, then activate another C4. So much fun.

Of course, they're not gone forever like most of yours, but it feels like it.

Also, I miss Monster Rancher.

I miss ISW.
I most assuredly miss the short period of time in which my cousin lived on the opposite side of the world.

And, as with the above post, that was a good show. whatever happened to it?

I also miss Beast Wars.

Seriously, all 80's nostalgia aside...it was better. Animals are cooler than cars.

Megas XLR and Samurai Jack... WIsh they would complete Jack's travels, but alas, no one else can fill Mako's shoes to voice Aku.

I miss Pirates of Dark Water and the kind of well-drawn, beautifully animated shows that used to exist before stuff like the garbage you can find on kids' channels nowadays.
