What are some things you guys never truly appreciated, until they were gone?

Friends. I'm not saying I don't have friends, but when I got back to school, I don't really have any friends there. So I might actually be there for a day without saying a word. Gets pretty annoying.

Being able to poop in a toilet any time that I want, and be able to use toilet paper.
Although I have to admit there is a magical feeling about pooping in a hole in the woods.

Well, this isn't gone but I never really appreciated some of the beautiful countryside around where I live. I'm from Indiana--and I live very close to the Michigan border and some of the rural lands around the cities in those states are just beautiful.

But I never noticed it until recently. One of those; it's-always-been-there sort of things. And I never used to go south in Indiana unless I had to go see my dad when I was a teenager. Just recently I made a trip down to see my grandparents and I was thinking, "Wow...it's really pretty through here."

So I appreciate it more now.

My dad. Always had a strained relationship with him, and I realized it could have been so much better one week before he died.

Dad. I held onto him up to the very last second, even though my family hated him and wanted me to, but he still left, and it's been years since I've talked to him.

Not sure if I'd want him back, though, since I am who I am because of everything that's happened, even him leaving, and I like who I am.

My iPod headphones.

I had no idea how dependant I was on them until they broke.

Now I have some awful ones until my new ones come in about a week's time.

God, I hate week-long deliverys.
