And to everyone complaining that FO3 sucked because it wasn't Fallout or FO2, bite me. Turn based combat in a series is going the way of the dodo. Just because it's not the original doesn't mean it sucks.
It wasnt the combat that made it special. It was the game.

Kill children please.

If you're going to make a certain faction invincible, don't make them the most ANNOYING CHARACTERS IN THE FUCKING GAME.

Ahhh, wait didn't F3 come out when XP was still the main OS to have windows side?
The engine predates Vista, but Fallout 3 doesn't (Vista had been out for 2 years).

They could have enabled it in the file headers without changing the engine, but since at the time, XP was still in somewhat wide use, they didn't.

You can, however, fix this if you have 64 bit Vista or 7, or if you feel adventurous, modify your boot.ini file in 64-bit XP to enable larger memory allocation.

(XP 64-bit doesn't work as well, because it's not nearly as true a 64-bit OS.)

I doubt that they'll nix the XP support for New Vegas, so it looks like another round of modifying file headers.
What a farce. :/

A better game engine. Honestly, no more crashing/memory leaks Bethesda.
Don't ask Obsidian to code anything they don't have to. Just... don't.
As a fan of games that actually work, I'm still going to ask. :)
This reminds me of this:

Brian innocently asks what Peter is talking about, without the knowledge that asking this can only lead to horror and misery.
Lol. Bird is the word, Bethesda!
Wow, the irony.

Fallout is the successor to Wasteland (as it even said on the original box). "Bird" was the "word" to get in to see Fat Freddie in his casino in the Vegas section.

Given the apperance of the "Firelance" in Fallout 3, which was a referance to some of the false paragraphs in the copy-protection book for Wasteland, I wouldn't put it past Obsidian to actually sneak in a "Bird is the word" bit.

Can people be more specific about "more weapons" and "a broader range of weapons"? I don't think the game would greatly benefit from having even more weapons like the chinese pistol or the pool cue.
Well, they're adding a .50 cal anti-materiel rifle.
That's awesome, another 30lb. weapon with limited ammunition and narrow usefulness. :p

No thanks, I'll be over here one-shotting supermutants with my common-as-dirt hunting rifle.

There are aliens. 3 of them when you have the wild wasteland trait
...You realize by now the thread's around seven months old by now?

Well, what's done is done. I'll translate this as what I wanted in New Vegas...

Bobbleheads! They were replaced with snowglobes, and didn't have a stat boost.

How about they make the game good? Fallout 3 was amazing but new vegas just doesnt feel as fun. If they cant do that then they could at least get rid of like half the factions, there is no need for every single group of people you run into to have their own faction.
