At the moment, there's a GOG sale going on for Shadow Warrior (2013) and I was wondering how well my rig will be able to run (if at all). Here are my specs below:

-(Video card) NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650
-(Processor) AMD Phenom II X6 1045T Processor 2.70
-(RAM) 8 GB
-(OS) Windows 8

Unfortunately I'm not as familiar with the PC as I was use to, which is why I need you guys opinion on it. Thanks in advance.

Well aparently the required specs according to game-debate are: Card: Nvida GTX 460, 4 GB of ram and Windows 7 64 bit I would say you should be fine.

You'll definitely be able to run it, just don't expect 1080p,60 FPS at ultra settings. You should be able to run the game at medium at least and still get good framerates.

Sorry for the delayed response, but thanks for everyone's input on this. I recently got the was able to get the to (mostly) run at 60 fps 720p with v-sycn turned off and the detail turned to medium.

Also, every once in a while, some of my games, including this one, will for some reason minimize itself. Does anyone know why it would do that?

Oh hell yes! You should be able to run it, and Shadow Warrior is one of the best recent FPS games. The combat and movement are great, graphics and art style are great as well, and the story can actually be pretty engaging. In my opinion, it's the best reboot of an old series. It's a bit more on the classic side; for example there's no health regeneration (you can heal yourself up to a certain point or find a medpack), there's no weapon limit, and the levels allow for a bit more exploration. The Katana is also really, really fun to use. You can perform a bunch of special moves with it, it's very effective against most enemies, and it's not useless like other melee weapons in FPS games. It's a must have imo.

Apparently the minimizing problem is something to do with your graphics drivers, possibly old driver files interfering with newer ones. A little digging seems to indicate that the best way to deal with it is using Driver Sweeper then fresh installing the latest Nvidia drivers. Just put "sometimes games minimize themselves windows 7" into google and the first result should be a TomsHardware forum post about exactly this problem.

Oh, and totally buy Shadow Warrior. Not only an excellent, fun, quick FPS but also some cracking one liners.

Apparently I had to turn off Zune Wireless Configuration Service & Zune Network Sharing Service by opening up msconfig.exe and click on Sevices tab, which fixed the problem I was having. I take your advice into consideration about the Driver Sweeper.

Also, I've had my eye on this remake since TotalBiscuit did a first impression on it (even though I'm mainly a console guy), and I don't regret my purchase.

You should be able to run it just fine at around high, with some of the more expensive options (their hand-made real-time reflection system) disabled in favor of other options. Also, thanks to the rather fantastic PS4 port, PC users are looking forward to a 64-bit DirectX 11 .exe for the game that will obviously modernize the game but should also provide a ton of performance benefits and more DX11 features.

I have an i3 3.1 dual core with a GTX 465, and I'm still choosing between 1080p at mostly medium or 900p at mostly high. I'm hoping the new .exe will allow 1080p at mostly high.

If you played any FPS before say Call Of Duty 2 or Halo, you should love the fuck out of this game. It's an amazing FPS by any measure but is a love letter to the "map-py" level design with secrets and mass evisceration of enemies, with a decent upgrade system.
