Thinking of a Topic

You know what? I've noticed how hard it is to come up with a topic. Especially considering the good ideas are taken. It's not like I'm writing a novel so I don't feel I should put a lot of effort into making a topic. Does anyone else have this problem?

General Posting

Starting a thread: Posting is an art; be proud of your work. A good thread will generate discussion. Will it bring something new to the table and will you want to participate in the discussion it creates? We don't expect every thread to be incredibly deep and thought provoking, but every thread should engage the community in a positive way.
Though it is hard to come up with a good topic, I'd rather have 5 solid ones than 20 mediocre ones.

I stopped making topics after every discussion point of mine was a hate-fuelled rant...
Now I don't make them for risk of looking like a twot...

You know the difference between us two, though? I don't start them.
I used to be like that, I couldn't make decent topics at all, and what did I do? Did I perhaps put time and effort into bettering my topic making skills? No, I stopped making topics and used FPS' as a way to suppress my topic making desires.
