It's something to do with 4Chan. I dare not venture further. Don't know how the hell it's got on money though.
When you look at a global map, Asia is the giant blob between North America and Europe, Africa is the big blob below Europe, and South America is, well, SOUTH of America.mishagale said:Europe: Little-endian dates - smallest unit first, easy enough to remember and pretty intuitive (fits other conventions like little-endian postal addresses)BiscuitTrouser said:We write our dates day month year in the order of how large they are. USA: Middle-endian dates - just because.
Japan: Big-endian dates - makes as much sense as little endian, with the added bonus that sorting lexically is the same as sorting by date - a lot of programs that include a datestamp in filenames therefore use this format.
I actually don't know about the rest of the world, anyone care to enlighten me about Asia, Africa, the rest of the Americas?
It's done that way in Japan.Marmooset said:I dunno. I'm just causing trouble.BiscuitTrouser said:We write our dates day month year in the order of how large they are. And, from a records perspective, the only date order that would actually make sense would be year/month/day.
