I know they weren't brothers, but Damon and DiCaprio's characters both met the same guy when they were younger and he became like a father figure to them if I remember correctly - then one grows up becomes a cop and one joins the mafia. I saw it a few years ago and I don't really remember the details of the movie, but were thinking of the same thing.

Okay, you're obviously thinking of the right movie but you've worked the plot from something else into this one's somewhere along the line - DiCaprio and Damon's characters didn't have any shared father figures in their lives, only Damon knew the crime boss as a child. The only other connection between those two characters was that they were both newly trained cops who then took wildly different assignments.

I know this thread is supposed to be about stories and films and such, but the thread title is literally my approach to studying physics and math. And it does all makes sense... eventually.

Most of the Metal Gear Solid games try to get so convoluted that they have to fall back to a certain level of absurdity after writing themselves into a corner.

Also, the FLCL amine is fairly erretic, but does eventually make sense if you watch it enough. Excel Saga... slightly less so.

I watched some of FLCL and I couldn't make any sense of it. It just seemed random to me.

the Rockey horror picture show. it makes relative sense till the end then it just completely breaks the fourth wall.

Yea rocky horror never made sense to me either.
