There is a revolution every minute, and this time, it is going to be one of language.

The English language is an old cantankerous beast that in all honesty should have been put down a long time ago. What's worse, it has gone viral and seems to be infecting other parts of the world. I try to do my part to keep it at bay. In that vein I am suggesting a new word be added:

Soo.

Yes, soo.

Just like we have 'to' and 'too' which have separate meanings, I think so and soo should be different.

So shall retain its existing usage ala "I had enough money, so I bought that new dictionary."

And soo shall now be used in cases such as "I want that new dictionary soo much!" and "Do not attempt to revolutionize the English language soo soon."

You have heard the word, so you should go out and preach it soo loud that others will listen too.

I will wait till thrice gets added then i will start caring about other words.
Why do you make it seem as though thrice isn't already a word?

Honestly, it looks stupid but this "new word" kind of makes sense. "Too" is used to describe when there is so much of something that it becomes undesirable, where "soo" describes, more or less, an abundance of something that IS desirable. But all the same, "so" will suffice just as it is.

First, let people use the words they've been given properly first, THEN we'll talk. There's a different between 'loose' and 'lose', folks. I dunno why people 'loose' at cards or whatever. That doesn't make any sense. Maybe they released the hounds, loosed the hounds because they lost.

The point I'm trying to make is that we don't need new updates. We need people to master the art in its current form. In fact, the more we add weird stuff to the mix, the more that people taking english as a second language are gonna suffer. So, my thought here is that we won't be adding new stuff right now and take a breather.

And if you really think the english language is an old cantankerous beast and so on...learn a different one.

Why not just use so? It's not as if people's brains will explode under the stress of one word having two meanings...

I know, I have to constantly examine the context the word is used in to understand what people mean! It's sooo complicated!

*facepalm*
so, because English is apparently too difficult of a language for you to comprehend, we should take one word and make it into two words with separate uses, in effect ADDING complexity?
both examples that you use are best used by the already existing simple word 'so.'
oh, and your first example is more of an example of whining.
pleeeeaaaaassssseeee stooooopp it.
just like that. and guess what? those aren't new words that get spelled that way. it's the infliction on the words.

The English language has too many words that have too many meanings? my ass, go learn japanese.

Sumimasen!

Your view on "So" is as ignorant as it gets, sure English is ugly and flawed, but it going viral to other lands is damn-well proof of its functionality and universal appeal.

Besides, an extended so already exists for the purpose of question-inflicted suspense.

Go study the language before you ***** about it, you'll have a ton more to complain about when it comes to the ridiculousness of punctuation which doesn't extend to internet conversations proving its useless beyond, quote marks, question marks, exclamation marks, periods, and commas... o alright I guess you need to have ( and ) for all the boob crafting the internet can take.

Not to sound mean but, how would this endeavor help improve the english language?

We already have slang terms in some dictionaries, and things like "truthiness" as well, how the hell is "soo" relevant to this language when it's basically the exact same as so but used only to over exaggerate a point in a way that's grammatically incorrect?

Wow, I can't believe this was taken so incredibly seriously.

Here's some highlights so far:

That is the dumbest thing I've heard in a while.
Oh, the burn, the sting. Not only do they disagree, but they disagree enough to launch ALL OUT ASSAULT OF DOOM against me. That is soo funny!

This is my favorite though:

Languages are not static things, no matter how ya cut it man! In fact, their changes are based off of the ever-shifting cultural environment we live in to provide communication. You can't master something like that based off of dictionaries and grammar books. You can only win that fight by keeping up to date... kinda like how you will never have 'the most up to date computer ever' since as soon as you do, peeps gonna just make a new one.

Crazy bastards.

Okay, so at least we all Agree that 'soo' is an important addition to the language. I also shall now decree that for political correctness, it is only permissible to use the term 'fanperson' instead of either fanboy or fangirl.
